Our organisation provides culturally responsive, community-led support services to marginalised communities, with a particular focus on African, Arab, and Somali populations. We are committed to improving health, wellbeing, economic inclusion, and social equity through direct support, advocacy, education, and strategic partnerships. Our approach centres on accessibility, cultural sensitivity, and empowerment. Key Areas of Activity and Impact: FGM Support and Awareness Delivered 24 community workshops on Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), attended by 400 individuals. These sessions raised awareness, promoted advocacy, and educated participants on the health and human rights implications of FGM. Multilingual Household Support Fund Applications Supported 300 individuals in completing welfare and financial support applications in their preferred languages, ensuring access to critical resources. Bilingual One-to-One Advice and Guidance Provided person-centred, multilingual support to 480 service users, enabling them to access housing, health, legal, and welfare services. Culturally Sensitive Counselling Delivered 12 weeks of bilingual, early-intervention mental health counselling to 40 individuals, promoting emotional wellbeing within a culturally appropriate framework. Food & Hygiene Bank Supported over 300 service users and families with access to essential food, toiletries, and hygiene products to address basic needs and reduce hardship. Job and Skills Training Equipped 100 individuals with employability skills, including CV preparation and interview techniques. Successfully placed 36 participants into sustainable employment. Basic Digital Literacy Training Delivered foundational digital skills training to 60 service users, helping them confidently engage with online services and daily digital tasks. Autism and Learning Disabilities Support Provided culturally appropriate support and information to 45 individuals and families navigating autism and learning disabilities. Health and Wellbeing Programmes Co-designed and delivered physical and mental health initiatives tailored to African and Arab communities, including focus groups that engaged 200 service users under the BLACHIR project. Professional Training Trained 250 professionals (via both in-person and online formats) on topics such as Cultural Competency, Cultural Humility, Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG), FGM, and cultural sensitivity in healthcare and social services. Community Research and Representation Facilitated community-led research and focus group sessions to inform inclusive policy and service development, particularly through our work with the BLACHIR initiative. Strategic Partnerships and Representation BLACHIR (Birmingham and Lewisham African and Caribbean Health Inequalities Review): Acted as a community engagement partner, contributing African community insights to public health research and policy recommendations. Public Health Birmingham – Deep Engagement Partner: Represented Somali communities in shaping public health strategies, training, and services to ensure cultural relevance and effectiveness. Representation and Policy Influence: Advocated for the voices of marginalised communities to be reflected in local, regional, and national decision-making spaces. Collaboration with Anchor Institutions: Led and participated in co-produced, intergenerational initiatives aimed at systemic change, community development, and long-term impact.

WE HAVE DECELOPED A MORE STRUCTURED APPROACH TO ENGAGING GRASS ROOTS NETWORKS. WE MEET WITH OTHER THIRD SECTOR ORGANISATION WHEN WORKING TOGETHER WITH THEM. WE HAVE HAD MEETINGS WITH EXTERNAL PROVIDERS THROUGH (ONLINE, REMOTE OR TELEPHONE)
