As with previous years, the club continued to work with many local voluntary sector and statutory partners to be a base for many workshops around First Aid, Safeguarding, Financial Security and Mental Health. The club also continued it's 'free food offer', once again offering thousands of meals to members. The club delivered 3 North East Open championships durin the period, bring some of the best competitors and officials from across the country to the region. Once again, the club supported several young people to represent the Wadokai England team at the Wadokai European Championships. Two of our instructors and referees also continued with their World Karate Federation & European Karate Federation qualifications, ensuring that the quality of tuition at the club remains world class.
The primary stakeholders of the club continue to be the members, the students, parents/guardians and their wider support network. Stakeholders also include the wider community, which includes the voluntary sector and statutory services, and the national governing body. Our Young People's voice remains a popular aspect of the club, giving direct voice and decision making to the young people. We are also slowly embedding the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals into all aspects of the club after being directed to do so by our Young People.
