Women Outdoor's mission is to inspire women to get outdoors connecting them with nature and each other to improve their mental and physical wellbeing. Women Outdoors have teamed up with Women's Aid to organise hiking events specifically for women who are part of Women's Aid and therefore victims and survivors of domestic abuse. We strongly believe that these hiking events will bring many benefits to the ladies at Women's aid by: Increasing their self esteem and confidence Reducing stress, anxiety and depression Bring them a feeling of belonging and connection Improve their fitness Bring joy and fun Most of our ladies from Women's Aid have financial barriers and come from deprived areas. Women Outdoors are keen to push gender diversity in the outdoors but also those who are not In a financial position to do so.
Surveys are filled in from attendees on a frequent basis to gain feedback on how our events are making a difference to them
