Company activities and impact

In 2023-2024 we delivered the Survivors LEAD program to 10 survivor leaders based in the UK. This program provides training to survivors of modern slavery on professional skills and working in the voluntary sector. Professional skills training included: how to use Google docs, responding to emails, converting time zones, and how to add browser extensions. Working in the voluntary sector focused on working to provide trauma-informed care and providing self-help resources for survivors’ mental health. The project developed this shareable resource: https://www.survivoralliance.org/store/rising-together-a-webinar-on-hope-and-healing-9jc98 Our consulting services continued to focus on working with Universities to facilitate lived experience advisory boards for research projects. We recruit and onboard survivors for the advisory boards, train and support them, coordinate meetings that happen in person at the University, and facilitate the meetings.

Consultation with stakeholders

The stakeholders are Universities, survivors of modern slavery, and the third sector. We have monthly meetings with our partners at University of Nottingham. We also met weekly with survivors of modern slavery who participated in the Survivors LEAD program, and regularly asked for feedback. With survivors of modern slavery, we host fortnightly meetings where any participant can join to speak to us about their experience and to build connections with each other. For the wider third sector, we have regular meetings with our key partners. The cadence of these meetings are established with each partner. Sometimes the meetings are monthly or quarterly.
