Our online support group has over 600 active members. Consultation and engagement is carried out on a regular basis using group feedback sessions, surveys and parent carers and neurodivergent adults are encouraged to contribute their views on how the community support group and associated trips, activities and support is delivered. Empowering them to make their own choices and choose the types of support that will be provided. Thematic analysis is carried out based on the enquires we receive which has enabled us to target more of our support and trips out and activities offering a more tailored menu of community support and activities for families to take part in. Further to feedback a Young leaders group has been developed with the young people so that they can have more say on the types of activities carried out. Other stakeholders include local councils, NHS, ICB and Catterick Connection project. Neurodiverse Community Catterick sits on the parent carer support group network at North Yorkshire Council and has supported the group to engage and provide feedback for the development of the autism strategy.
