General information

Travel Editions Purchases Limited is a private company limited by shares which is incorporated in England and Wales, United Kingdom. The address of the registered office is given in the company information pages of these financial statements. The nature of the company's operations and principal activity is that of a transport company.

2.Accounting policies

 
2.1

Basis of preparation of financial statements

The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention unless otherwise specified within these accounting policies and in accordance with Section 1A of Financial Reporting Standard 102, the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and the Republic of Ireland and the Companies Act 2006.

The preparation of financial statements in compliance with FRS 102 requires the use of certain critical accounting estimates. It also requires management to exercise judgement in applying the Company's accounting policies.

 
2.2

Foreign currency translation

Functional and presentation currency

The Company's functional and presentational currency is GBP.

Transactions and balances

Foreign currency transactions are translated into the functional currency using the spot exchange rates at the dates of the transactions.

At each period end foreign currency monetary items are translated using the closing rate. Non-monetary items measured at historical cost are translated using the exchange rate at the date of the transaction and non-monetary items measured at fair value are measured using the exchange rate when fair value was determined.

Revenue

Revenue represents amounts receivable for the sale of transport related services net of VAT to its group companies.

 
2.4

Debtors

Short-term debtors are measured at transaction price, less any impairment. Loans receivable are measured initially at fair value, net of transaction costs, and are measured subsequently at amortised cost using the effective interest method, less any impairment.

 
2.5

Creditors

Short-term creditors are measured at the transaction price. Other financial liabilities, including bank loans, are measured initially at fair value, net of transaction costs, and are measured subsequently at amortised cost using the effective interest method.

 
2.6

Financial instruments

The Company only enters into basic financial instrument transactions that result in the recognition of

Related party transactions

The Company has taken advantage of the exemption avaliable under FRS 102 section 33.1A where disclosures of transactions between group members are not required, provided that the subsidiary is wholly owned.
At the year end, the company was owed £61,168 (2023: £61,168) by Travel Editions Group Limited, the parent company.

Post balance sheet events

On 15 November 2024 Travel Editions Group Limited, the parent company was acquired by The Artisan Travel Holding Limited.

Controlling party

The Company's immediate parent company is Travel Editions Group Limited. The holding company of the group is The Artisan Travel Holding Limited. The directors are of the view that there is no ultimate controlling party of The Artisan Travel Holding Limited.
The Artisan Travel Holding Limited has the same registered office address as given in the Company Information page of these financial statements. The Artisan Travel Holding Limited's consolidated accounts are available upon request from Companies House, Crown Way, Cardiff, CF14 3VZ.

Auditors' information

The auditors' report on the financial statements for the year ended 30 September 2024 was unqualified.

The audit report was signed on 6 March 2025 by Yasin Khandwalla FCCA (Senior statutory auditor) on behalf of Xeinadin Audit Limited.
