Principal activities of the company

The company's principal activity during the year continued to be increasing social mobility for young people and adults, breaking down the barriers associated with entrenched poverty and to influence better life choices to benefit both individuals and their surrounding communities.

  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

    Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, net of discounts and value added taxes. Turnover includes revenue earned from the sale of goods and from the rendering of services. Turnover from the sale of goods is recognised when the significant risks and rewards of ownership of the goods have transferred to the buyer. Turnover from the rendering of services is recognised by reference to the stage of completion of the contract. The stage of completion of a contract is measured by comparing the costs incurred for work performed to date to the total estimated contract costs.

    Tangible fixed assets depreciation policy

    Tangible fixed assets are measured at cost less accumulative depreciation and any accumulative impairment losses. Depreciation is provided on all tangible fixed assets, other than freehold land, at rates calculated to write off the cost, less estimated residual value, of each asset evenly over its expected useful life, as follows Freehold buildings over 50 years Leasehold land and buildings over the lease term Plant and machinery over 5 years Fixtures, fittings, tools and equipment over 5 years

Company activities and impact

In the space provided below, please insert a general account of the company’s activities in the financial year to which the report relates, including a description of how they have benefited the community. During yr end 2024 the foundation was able to enjoy a perioed of growth and a diversification of income streams. The foundation continued to apply for new projects bids from UK organisations to support our goal of inspiring young people through music and STEM activaites. But also diversified our income stream by working direct with companies to help them achieve their social value goals and objectives. With new corporate clients and the successful outcome of a number of funding applications The foundation to increase our turnover and to increase the number of young people we have been able to engage with. The CIC is in a positive position and we look forward to moving forward with new projects in 2025.

Consultation with stakeholders

The CIC consults with young people, whose age depends on the specific project. During the delivery of our Children in need project we were able to consult with young people on what future projects they could benefit from. This has informed us of the appeal of STEM resources, such as coding kits. Which we will look to utilise moving forward. . We will continue to consult with young people via face to face contact and written feedback to ensure we create suitable projects moving forward.

Directors' remuneration

Wages of £17,996.00 was made to Nathan John for services rendered as part of the contracts won and delivered in 2020/21. Wages of £3700 was made to Stuart Williams for services rendered as part of the contracts won and delivered in
