Company activities and impact

Bridgin The Gap CIC has produced a program called Redirect. It delivers impactful, community-focused programmes aimed at supporting young people through creativity, nature, and hands-on learning experiences. Our work is centred around providing safe, inclusive, and enriching environments where young people-particularly those facing barriers-can explore their potential, build confidence, and develop life skills. Key activities have included a range of youth engagement programmes at Forge Mill Farm, where participants have taken part in animal care, forestry, art, life skills and outdoor education. These sessions have encouraged teamwork, responsibility, and well-being while offering practical experiences that many young people would not otherwise access. In addition to on-site learning, Redirect has collaborated with schools, local authorities, and community partners to ensure our activities align with safeguarding standards and provide measurable personal development outcomes. Through these partnerships, we’ve supported social inclusion, reduced isolation, and created pathways for young people to move forward in education, training, or employment. Overall, Redirect’s activities this year have made a significant positive impact on the community by nurturing resilience, creativity, and connection among the youth we serve as well as preventing crime and public nuisance. This program has started during this time but Bridgin The Gap CIC was dormant as this has been a pilot program and we are due funding late 2024 where we will start to trade fully.
