During the financial year ending 31st December 2024, Hamerton Conservation And Heritage Centre C.I.C. continued its mission to promote environmental education, wildlife conservation, and heritage preservation within the local community and beyond. Key activities and impacts included: Educational Outreach: We hosted a series of school visits, guided tours, and workshops focused on biodiversity, conservation practices, and local history. Over 1,200 students and community members participated throughout the year. Conservation Projects: Several habitat restoration projects were undertaken in partnership with local volunteers and environmental groups. These initiatives helped protect native species and enhanced public green spaces. Community Engagement: We ran family-friendly events and exhibitions designed to raise awareness of heritage conservation, attracting visitors from diverse backgrounds and promoting community cohesion. Volunteer Program: The Centre continued to provide volunteering opportunities for individuals of all ages, helping people gain skills in conservation, event planning, and visitor engagement. Through these activities, the Centre has strengthened its role as a valuable educational and cultural resource, improving environmental awareness and providing accessible learning opportunities to the wider public.
