We have continued to run a monthly farmers market with a strong community focus providing food products to local residents and visitors. We have provided the opportunity for local farmers and small-scale producers to sell their produce direct to the public. The market has run for the benefit of residents of Baildon and for farmers and small-scale producers in the surrounding area. The market has also contributed to the attractiveness of Baildon as a shopping destination for visitors. The community has benefited from having access to locally produced food products. The market also acts as an important monthly community event and chance to get together. Several charities have benefited by fundraising from our monthly charity stall.
Stakeholders are Baildon residents, local producers and businesses in Baildon village. We regularly seek and receive feedback on social media and respond to questions be email. We also run surveys on how businesses and shoppers feel about the market and how we can make it even better.
