Principal activities of the company

The principal activity of the company during the year was to support men’s mental health and emotional well-being through weekly podcasts, public engagement, and community outreach across the Black Country. The company aimed to reduce stigma, provide accessible discussion platforms, and signpost individuals to relevant support services.

Political and charitable donations

The company did not make any political or charitable donations during the financial year ended 31 July 2024.

Company policy on disabled employees

The company is committed to equality of opportunity and welcomes applications from individuals with disabilities. While no staff are currently employed, the company would make reasonable adjustments and maintain an inclusive environment should employment be introduced.

Additional information

The company’s activities were carried out on a voluntary basis, with no directors or members receiving remuneration. Stakeholder feedback was regularly gathered via social media and community events, and informed the topics and outreach methods used throughout the year. All services were provided free of charge to the public.

Company activities and impact

The Black Country Blokes C.I.C. supported men’s mental health and well-being across the Black Country during the financial year. We produced a weekly podcast discussing issues like anxiety, depression, fatherhood, addiction, and relationships. We also engaged with the community through social media and events to promote open conversations around mental health. All services were delivered by volunteers and provided free to the community.

Consultation with stakeholders

The company’s stakeholders include listeners, local men’s mental health advocates, community members, and partner organisations. Stakeholders have been consulted through direct feedback via email, social media comments, in-person conversations at events, and informal community discussions. Based on feedback, we introduced new podcast topics such as grief, loneliness, and men’s physical health, and expanded outreach efforts through more consistent online engagement.
