Balance sheet statements

For the year ending 31 October 2024 the company was entitled to exemption under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.

The members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.

The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts.

These accounts have been prepared and delivered in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime.

The directors have chosen not to file a copy of the company's profit and loss account.

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

    Turnover comprises the fair value of the consideration received or receivable for the provision of services in the ordinary course of the company's activities.

    Tangible fixed assets depreciation policy

    Depreciation is charged so as to write off the cost of assets, other than land over their estimated useful lives, as follows: Office equipment - 25% straight line

Company activities and impact

We have increased our support for the community in the past 12 months, primarily through our online clubhouse provision and pink bench initiative. We now have 12 benches in place at community venues, which all have a QR code on linking back to our online clubhouse with FREE wellbeing and mental health resources for people to access in the places they go to regularly. Details of what the CIC has done to benefit the community. We have delivered Mental health talks to over 700 people, in 3 countries and for 22 organisations We’ve increased our number of partners from 7 to 19. We have achieved over 1,500 scans of our QR code which offers free mental health resources Our events have generated over £22,000 for charities We have placed 47 of our unique ‘pink’ speakeasy benches across Wales & England (Our 3-year target was 50, and we’ve hit 47 within 18 months).

Consultation with stakeholders

Our stakeholders are individuals who access community sports clubs, the sports clubs themselves as well as delivery partners including Sport Wales, LooseHeadz and the WRU. We regularly gain feedback from attendees at our events and through our engagement on social media and newsletter we can evolve the support we provide in the most efficient and purposeful way possible. We have the 2023 survey herehttps://speakeasyclub.co.uk/the-speakeasy-survey and the 2024survey results are being processed as we speak. The engagement we have with our clubhouse conversations is growing constantly, examples of which can be found on our you tube channel. Details of how it has consulted its stakeholders on its activities. We use our social media channels to engage with the community by asking what they need, what they’d like more of and how they would like to learn Here is the 2025 Survey which is being released next week. https://forms.gle/npZAPfKAmf8bwKjr5 As with our previous two surveys, this will be used to inform our activities further, ensuring everything we do has evidence and insight to support the ‘why’.
