My Motivation Matters CIC delivered a programme called Mighty Motivators for families affected by Autism, ADHD, anxiety and other related conditions. Over 60 families benefitted from positive and empowering activities for the children and advice and training for the parents/carers. Activities included arts and crafts, Circus skills, table games, drama games and co-ordination and strength training. Training for parents, carers and professionals has included “Making Sense of Behaviour”. “PDA – a practical approach” and “How Intensive Interaction Works”. A new programme, “Change Agents”, was successfully piloted in a Pupil Referral Unit with 8 students. The company worked in partnership with Trident Health and Performance to deliver two Healthy Holiday programmes in the school holidays. Providing children with fun strength training, arts and crafts, games and a meal.
The company’s stakeholders consist of local families affected by physical and emotional health issues. We consult with them to identify needs on first contact and regularly stay updated in person. We listened to children who said they didn’t like the temporary base that we were operating from and moved to a more suitable venue in January 2023. The move was well received. We are in constant dialogue with our stakeholders as our service is very bespoke and intimate. Children’s groups are very small as a lot of our children have sensory and social issues. We notice when a child seems to be struggling and deal with issues immediately and with sensitivity.
