FOOD FOR CHILDREN TOTNES CIC has provided over 11,000 mealkits to primary school children during the School Holidays since February 2023 to July 2024. To date (23.04.25) we have now provided over 15,000 mealkits to 176 children in 10 schools with new schools coming on board as the need is increased due to the economic climate within the South Hams. This has helped families ensure they can feed their Children during the school holidays when they do not receive daily meals as they do during term time with free school meals. FOOD FOR CHILDREN TOTNES CIC survives only be monetary donations and food donations. Monetary donations are used to purchase any surplus needed to provide the full mealkit for every child within an elegible family. None of our Directors or volunteers receive any salary or funds. Without us, these children and families would struggle to eat during the school holidays.
No consultation with stakeholders
