Comfort Angels Football Club continued its mission to promote inclusion and empowerment through football to the women in the community, especially women seeking asylum and refugees. The women attended weekly football sessions where they had fun in field playing football and building healthy friendship. They participated in the She Inspires Football Tournament organised by Liverpool County FA. The tournament, highlighted the Club’s strong developmental programme around integration. The directors went into initial accommodations for asylum seekers and provided them with information on how to engage with support groups, developed their skills and promoted community integration. This was to help reduce isolation and improve their mental and physical well-being. The directors provided opportunities for coaching and refereeing training to the women as a way of empowering them and preparing them for employment when they are granted status. The directors collaboration with an organisation like the Liverpool County FA has further enhanced their work as they now refer the women's children (girls) to join their Wildcat programme which introduces young girls to football at an early age.
