Introduction ACE CIC is a vital organization serving adults with disabilities in the Belle Vale area of Liverpool. This report highlights the positive impact Ace has had on the community over the past year. Key Activities and Achievements Health and Wellbeing: Ace provides essential health and wellbeing activities for 50 adults with additional needs, including Zumba, Tai Chi, and yoga. These activities help reduce stress and anxiety, promoting physical and mental wellbeing. Community Engagement: Ace actively engages with the local community through various initiatives: -Discos: Organized and run by the individuals Ace supports, these discos foster social inclusion and entertainment for both participants and the wider community. -Venue Support: Ace utilizes venues from other local community groups, strengthening community bonds and resource sharing. -Drama Group: The weekly drama group culminates in pantomimes and summer shows, providing creative expression opportunities and engaging families, particularly during the Christmas season. Last year's pantomime was A Christmas Carol which went down very well and was attended by all families and friends. -Outdoor Events: Events like fish and chips nights and Spanish evenings create inclusive social spaces for individuals Ace supports, their families, and local residents. Community Garden Shop: The garden shop provides meaningful work experience for the individuals Ace supports while offering plants, compost, and gardening furniture to the community. The sale of self-made planters and plants grown from seed further enhances this initiative. Environmental Improvements: Ace has invested in a new heating and water system, reducing environmental impact and operating costs. Person centred support: We support individuals in developing personalized plans that reflect their goals and aspirations. We offer a wide range of activities and opportunities for people to participate in based on their interests. We promote self-advocacy and empower people to make informed decisions about their lives. Impact Ace has made a significant positive impact on the lives of the people it supports and the wider Belle Vale community: Improved Wellbeing: Health and wellbeing activities have demonstrably improved the physical and mental health of participants. Increased Social Inclusion: Discos, drama performances, and outdoor events have fostered a sense of belonging and social inclusion for individuals with disabilities within the community. Community Engagement: Collaboration with other community groups and engagement with local residents through events and the garden shop have strengthened community bonds. Skills Development: The garden shop and drama group provide valuable opportunities for skills development and work experience. Environmental Responsibility: The new heating and water system Ace has implemented is a clear demonstration of our commitment to environmental sustainability, reflecting the core principles of our Ace Vision. Conclusion Ace CIC has had a successful year, making a positive difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities and the broader Belle Vale community. Through its diverse programs and commitment to community engagement, Ace continues to be a valuable asset to the area. By continuing to build on its successes and address areas for improvement, Ace CIC can further enhance its positive impact on the Belle Vale community in the years to come.
