Compliance with accounting standards
The accounts have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of FRS 102 Section 1A Small Entities. There were no material departures from that standard.
The principal accounting policies adopted in the preparation of the financial statements are set out below and have remained unchanged from the previous year, and also have been consistently applied within the same accounts.
The accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention as modified by the revaluation of certain fixed assets.
The financial statements present information about the company as an individual undertaking and not about its group. The company and its subsidiary undertaking comprise a small sized group. The company has therefore taken advantage of the exemptions provided by section 402 of the Companies Act 2006 not to prepare group accounts.
The accounts are presented in £ sterling.
Investments held as fixed assets are shown at cost less provision for impairment.

Transactions with related parties
At the year end the company was owed £266,931 (2023: £210,335) by County Gate Properties Limited, it was also was owed £6,700 (2023 £6,700) by County Gate Properties (Handcross) Limited and £2,379 (2023 £2,379) by Bevingdean Limited. All these companies are part of the group. It owed County Gate Properties (Surrey) Limited £69,000 (2023 £nil), which is part of the group. It owed West Marina St Leonards Limited £100 (2022 £100).
At the year end the company was owed £42,944 (2023: £42,944) by County Gate Properties (Tongdean Lane) Limited, both companies are controlled by A Deme.
