The company has set up community hub, drop in centre and indoor market at a local school for anyone local who wants to participate. The Market opened for business in September 2023 with the community hub and drop in centre discretely operating within the market. The Markets activities have benefited the community in the following ways: - By offering free transport and a chaperone for those in the community who would normally not be able to attend. - Provided free stalls, goods and guidance to enable stall holders to build confidence. - Promoted a more equal and respectful relationship between vulnerable people and their community's. - Provided work experience opportunities by means of local people becoming volunteers within the market. - Improved community relations and social cohesion by creating an enhanced sense of belonging and inclusion of people with mental health issues. - Enabled people within the community to earn money by setting up their own small business. - Helped local people at risk of social isolation and loneliness engage with each other. - Promoted positive activities that support mental health, well being and self worth within the community. - Highlighted the amount of waste going to landfill sites and encouraging the recycling of second hand clothes/goods while providing the community with an affordable source of good quality clothes/goods and food.
