BAME, particularly the Bangladeshi community are falling behind other communities in achieving grades A-C GCSE or equivalent level 2 qualifications. As a consequence they face challenges in applying for further or higher education, and securing mainstream employment. There is also an increasing number who are classed as NEET, By offering to help with education needs and costs, and providing extra-curricular training and learning activities, it will enhance thecapacity and lifelong opportunities. We believe 1:1 private tuition and group tuition are commonly available to affluent groups, but cost is a barrier to some BAME & Bangladeshi communities. Subsidised tuition will inspire and support children and young people to improvetheir achievements, increase communication and social skills. The additional educational support may also increase the potential to allow more disadvantaged children to access and succeed in scholarship assessments in private schools.
