Basis of preparing the financial statements |
Although the company has made an operating loss during the period, the directors and shareholders have stated their intention to provide full financial support for at least the next 12 months. |
On this basis the directors believe it is appropriate to continue to adopt the going concern basis in the preparation of the financial statements. |
Financial instruments |
Short term trade creditors are measured at the transaction price. Other financial liabilities, including related party loans shall be measured at amortised cost using the effective interest rate. Financial liabilities that have no stated interest rate and are payable within one year shall be measured at the undiscounted amount due. |
Foreign currencies |
Assets and liabilities in foreign currencies are translated into sterling at the rates of exchange ruling at the statement of financial position date. Transactions in foreign currencies are translated into sterling at the rate of exchange ruling at the date of transaction. Exchange differences are taken into account in arriving at the operating result. |
Investment property |
Investment property is shown at the most recent valuation. Any aggregate surplus or deficit arising from changes in fair value is recognised in the statement of income. |
