Company activities and impact

Surge Campaigning C.I.C. has continued to disseminate information on the benefits of veganism on a large scale, this was achieved through: Pre-production and production on our most advanced production to date - a short animated film entitled Matilda and the Brave Escape. We worked on production development extensively with a highly-regarded animation company. Securing celebrity backing of Matilda and the Brave Escape in order to achieve more success with the reach of the film. Actor Bella Ramsey, most famous for the HBO show The Last of Us, narrated Matilda and the Brave Escape. Co-hosted preview screener of the film. The writers of Blood on Your Hands, a play about slaughterhouse workers that premiered at the Arcola Theatre in London and also ran at Southwark Playhouse, were looking to turn their play into a short film. We came on board as a producer in order to help them get the film made and to help them gain a larger audience. We released a new documentary ‘Nowhere to Run’ on the experiences of slaughterhouse workers. Our aim is to create productions that help veganism become more accessible for people, therefore benefiting society on a larger scale through the reduction of animal cruelty, and through the environmental and health benefits of a plant-based diet. Surge Campaigning C.I.C. provides work for vegans who have the positive experience of working to create a better future for all animals and people. We aim to foster a collaborative and community-driven environment. We are continuing our focus on larger scale projects and professional short film productions. We are planning to do advertising on the London Underground to reach millions of people with the vegan message.
