Balance sheet statements

For the year ending 30 June 2024 the company was entitled to exemption under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.

The members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.

The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts.

These accounts have been prepared and delivered in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime.

Company activities and impact

African Wonder Women Organisation CIC supports African Widows, the bereaved, traumatised and oppressed, especially women and young girls.We organise seminars and creative workshops to support the community; by bringing people together to build healthy relationships; enabling these bereaved, traumatised and oppressed to express themselves; heal and transition to healthier living. We currently hold regular "Every Emotion Is Valid" mental and emotional seminars both online and in person, we engage wellness speakers to help attendees develop healthy strategies for addressing cultural and emotional issues around bereavement and trauma. We also provide listening ears and signpost our community to the NHS and other recognised organisations where they can get further assistance.
