Year Ending: 31 March 2025

Company activities and impact

Fresh Creative Aspirations CIC provides Youth Work and related services in North East England, we have worked mainly in Newsham, Northumberland, where we did weekly detached work from September to December 2024 speaking to 85 individual 11-18 year olds about what they wanted to do in upcoming centre based sessions. In October we held a Halloween Party with 37 attendees (in fancy dress) and in December we ran a Christmas Family Fun Day for the local community attended by over 80people. In January and February 2025 we ran weekly video production / cooking sessions funded by The National Lottery Community Fund, every Wednesday from 6-8pm which were attended188 times by 61 individuals aged 11–17. We continued to run after our initial funding and overall in the first quarter of 2025 we have been attended 352 times by 70 individual young people. In partnership with NAPI we have run a weekly session for 7-11 year olds (half of whom have SEND) in Heaton, Newcastle since December 2024 and supported other adhoc projects including BFI Film Academy (November 2025) and Blyth Town Council Media Day (February 2025). Activities we ran at Newsham include video production / content production workshops, cooking skills, a volunteer program (including work experience) all with a focus on life skills and team building. Our activities have provided a diversion for some young people from anti social behaviour. At Heaton we provide fun activities and games also with a focus on building life skills and have received positive feedback from parents.

Consultation with stakeholders

Our main stakeholders are young people ranging from 7 – 18 years, the majority of those being 11-17 in Newsham. Consultation is at the heart of everything we do, we believe and promote the concept of ‘Youth Voice’ where we encourage the young people we work with to determine the activities they partake in. Therefore every session we run whether at Newsham or in Heaton involves a significant degree of consultation with our stakeholders. In addition we talk to the local communities in which we work and to the families of the people we work with. Our Newsham Christmas Family Fun Day was attended by over 80 people, we spoke with parents and residents receiving feedback such as: “This is amazing we’ve not has anything like this for the kids in a long time” “Thank you for a great time the kids loved it xx” “no one has put an event like this on in Newsham in years” As well as general feedback and suggestions for activities to be run in future sessions.

Directors' remuneration

The Directors received payment totalling £1802.40 for facilitating Youth Work sessions at Newsham and Heaton in January, February and March of 2025. There were no other transactions or arrangements in connection with the remuneration of directors, or compensation for director’s loss of office, which require to be disclosed.
