During the financial year, Martial Arts West has focused on laying the foundations for future support and growth within the local community. Recognising the increasing need for accessible activities that promote physical health, self-confidence, and personal safety, we have dedicated significant time and effort to building strong relationships with local councils, schools, and community organisations. By establishing these key contacts, we are positioning Martial Arts West to deliver expanded martial arts and self-defense programmes to a wider range of young people and families in the coming year. This groundwork aims to create more opportunities for inclusive, affordable classes, particularly targeting children, teenagers, and vulnerable groups who would benefit most from the physical and mental health advantages that martial arts training provides. While this year’s focus has been primarily on preparation and outreach, these efforts are already starting to generate opportunities that will have a lasting, positive impact on the wellbeing and resilience of our community.
