Company activities and impact

The company's activities have benefited the community in the financial year by the voluntary services which are carried out on a consistent basis. Minka Foundation had a brilliant start for the year. We started with monthly cultural group meetings in our Chairman's house. Going forward, we would have over 15 nationalities attending our monthly programs. We currently have another 2 communities who have joined; Ghanaian and Cameroonian. The Pakistani Community Centre based at 481 Stockport Road Manchester, M12 4NN would be used for weekly, monthly and yearly activities including annual EIDs The weekly activities include Fridays congregational prayers and is always well attended. The Saturdays and Sundays are for children education which includes language classes, cultural activities programs. The monthly program includes Executives meetings, general social events with most members of the community attending. The yearly activities include general fund raising during EID-Fitri Ramadan and EID--Kabir/Adiah 'money cloths material' collected and always shared amongst local community and in some instances sent to Senegal, Nigeria and Ghana where most of our members originally came from. All activities are carried out by volunteers who give their time and skills to the Foundation. Our intention is to raise funds to secure our permanent place and eventualy to employ one or two staff. We consider that we are on the right track to achieve our aims and objectives. We also plan for the coming year to secure funds to run After School activities, particuarly for children who struggle with their studies in Mathematics, English Language, and Sciences. Our official office is now located at 37 Keswick Grove, Salford Crescent, Manchester M6 5LR in order to move closer to our operational centre to reduce costs.

Consultation with stakeholders

The stakeholders are members and executives and they always are consulted through What Apps Groups, Zoom meetings, 'face to face' meetings and general meetings.
