During the reporting period, we provided private, face-to-face consultations to both adults and children experiencing severe hair loss due to a variety of causes, including medical conditions and treatments. Through these sessions, we supported individuals in selecting appropriate wigs, offering tailored guidance on style, colour, and hair volume based on their personal needs and preferences. Our service aimed to help clients regain confidence and improve their emotional well-being. In addition to one-to-one support, we partnered with the local church to extend our reach within the community and raise awareness about hair loss solutions. We also donated hats to children undergoing cancer treatment in hospital, providing both comfort and a sense of care during a difficult time. Through these initiatives, we promoted greater understanding and acceptance of hair loss, helped reduce stigma, and supported emotional resilience and self-esteem in those affected.
During the reporting period, we actively engaged with service users, their families, healthcare professionals, and local support organisations to ensure our services met the needs of those experiencing severe hair loss. Consultations were carried out through informal feedback during appointments, follow-up surveys, and conversations with partner organisations, including support groups and medical practitioners.
No remuneration was received
