  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

    Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, net of discounts and value added taxes. Turnover includes revenue earned from the sale of goods and from the rendering of services. Turnover is reduced for estimated customer returns, rebates and other similar allowances.

    Tangible fixed assets depreciation policy

    Tangible fixed assets are measured at cost less accumulated depreciation and any accumulated impairment losses. Depreciation is provided at rates calculated to write off the cost of the fixed assets, less their estimated residual value, over their expected useful lives on the following bases: Plant and Machinery - 20% Reducing Balance

Company activities and impact

The Town Hall is available for community use to community groups, organisations & private hirers. There is a community garden where volunteers from the community grow food to distribute free of charge. Community groups & local volunteer groups are given the room at low cost/free to ensure services remain locally and the building stays in use. Private hirers pay for use of the hall, activities over the year include weddings, birthday parties, indoor bowls, line dancing, breastfeeding groups, Council meetings, Mental heath workshops, dog training and more.
