Company activities and impaet - UK Futsal runs sports activities in Bournemouth with particular emphasis on engaging young people back into sports. Uk Futsal projects have provided activities that have benefitted the community in the following ways:- Local residents particularly those without access to cars and those with impaired mobility have been able to access sports that fit in with their needs. We have provided opportunities for young people to gain recognised sports qualifications. Loeal parents have also taken up courses that they have been able to use when seeking employment. There are upwards of 30 children who have benefitted this year together with their parents.
The company stakeholders are residents of Bournemouth and local sports coaches from around the area. Directors of the company have lived in Bournemouth for a number of years and developed the business model for the company based on their experience of talking to other supporting agencies and residents. We ask everyone attending our community projects to fill a short questionnaire about how the projects have benefitted the community. This has helped us to build up a profile of what support the community sports requires and what we can do to meet them more effectively. Our research has enabled us to identify that there are four local areas that are deprived of easily accessible sports.
