Company activities and impact

This year has seen Positive Pathways grow in detached youth work in Liverpool. We have delivered at least 5 sessions of detached youth work per week and up to 7 per week during the summer months. We are working in Liverpool city centre and are currently the only detached youth work providers in this area. We have also continued to deliver sessions in and around the Breckside area. We have offered numerous diversionary activities during busy periods such as summer and Operation Banger period. We are part of various multi agency strategy groups such as Violence strategy group, Disarm, detached forum for Liverpool, waterfront group and City centre Youth strategy group. Within these groups we are able to share are experiences and help to shape better services for young people and make it safer for young people to access services and leisure activities. We have continued to deliver youth and play training to other organisations. We have supported various young people in one-to-one capacity and delivered issue-based workshops to children and young people in schools and alternative education provisions across Liverpool.

Consultation with stakeholders

Stakeholder meetings are held bi weekly with Merseyside police and Liverpool City council where they are able to support our work and guide us to where they want us to work. We have quarterly wider stakeholder meetings which involve stakeholders from Liverpool Cit centre where they are asked about our work and the direction they want it to go in. Feedback is positive and stakeholders seem to value the work we do with young people. We also seek feedback from local councillors and meet with them twice a year to discuss our work and what they want us to do. The young people we work with are regularly consulted on when we work and how we work, they are given the opportunity to give us feedback through discussions and through anonymous online forms.
