Company activities and impact

Mind Connect Mental Health is a CIC, established in October 2023, providing person-centred and therapeutic support within Merseyside. With commissioned services within the NHS and community projects, Mind Connect have extensive experience helping people who have mild-Severe Mental Illnesses. The support we currently offer includes: Therapeutic Support Therapeutic intervention for people within secondary mental health care services, working closely with NHS partners and local voluntary organisations to provide wrap-around support for those most vulnerable Community Support: Group wellbeing sessions for community members across Liverpool and Knowsley, with free hubs in Speke, Garston, Kirkby, Prescot and Huyton Local mental health drop-ins to provide people with advice and signposting to support in the community Support for Young People: Mental health education for young people both in person and online to learn about a range of wellbeing topics e.g., emotional regulation, anxiety, self-esteem, to improve their mental health and resilience A safe space to learn about mental health and access support from mental health professionals e.g., a weekly youth and gaming hub in Prescot with access to support from a Mental Health Nurse Online Support Weekly online sessions for adults to access wellbeing sessions and socialise with others Weekly online sessions for young people to learn more about mental health in a secure setting Support Figures Although established in October 2023, Mind Connect began delivering mental health support in April 2024, which is when our support figures start: From April 2024 – June 2024, we delivered 56 support sessions through one-to-one and group sessions From July 2024 – September 2024, we delivered an extra 274 support sessions through one-to-ones, group and online sessions We believe we are making a difference by changing the way people are supported with their mental health ensuring we are: Consistent - We don’t have a time limit on how long a person is supported in our community sessions. Accessible - Our support ranges from in person, online or home visits so that we can always try to accommodate a persons needs Person-centred - Everyone we work with receives different support as we know this is the most effective way to see genuine mental health progress Therapeutic - Our support is provided by qualified staff who can provide more intensive help when needed Partnership Working and Projects We have successfully worked in partnership with several local and national organisations to ensure we can provide effective mental health support in the community and have opened new wellbeing hubs in Speke, Garston, Kirkby, Huyton and Prescot. Organisations we are working with include: Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust, providing therapeutic and community support to individuals in secondary mental health care services with a Severe Mental Illness Suez UK, who provided us with funding to provide free wellbeing sessions to residents within Kirkby South Liverpool Homes, providing us with the space to provide free wellbeing sessions in South Liverpool Clockwork Studios CIC, providing us with the space to provide free wellbeing support to Knowsley residents A range of other local VCSFE’s to ensure we can provide wrap-around support to community members e.g., Partnership for Learning, Mindset Matters, Age Concern and Seans Place Looking Forward Mind Connect are working to continue and grow our support offer through expanding commissioned public health contracts (e.g., Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust), introducing new mental health projects (e.g., mental health youth support) and establishing possible new ventures for the organisation (e.g., Wellbeing Coaching).
