The Company has offered an advocacy service to marginalised and vulnerable people in the community who are unable to access public services. This service runs weekly throughout the year. Health and social negligence, career development and environmental racism. In 2021 we were chosen as one of the Caribbean engagement partners working on Birmingham and Lewisham Health Inequalities action plan. In summary the plan identified 39 recommendations that will be used as a way to close the health disparity gap in the African and Caribbean communities. We have been working with community partners to implement these recommendations. After a successful engagement we have secured national lottery funding to continue with the yearly exhibition. We engaged 250 people in the community, worked with 14 NHS partners and grass roots organisation. We also hosted a tech development programme called Tech Roots, which seeks to make tech roles accessible for minority ethic people and disabled people. We amassed 1.2 million interactions on social media, have engaged with 413,000 people world wide and work with two food bank partners to support their clients.
We have a stakeholder committee who meet with us yearly to run through feedback, reports and to steer our future work. Our stakeholders consist of the local community and our beneficiaries. We communicate via our newsletter and online forums. Our committee consists of Doctors, Teachers, Health Professionals and Humanitarians. 100% are of black or black mixed heritage and there is a representation of the LGBTQ+ and Neurodivergent communities.
