stART therapeutic art! In the community stART Therapeutic Art in the Community is a project that aims to unite people through creative art workshops. These workshops use recyclable materials and various art techniques to help participants express themselves and improve their mental wellbeing. What does it offer? Creative Activities: Learn how to create art using drawing, collaging, and painting with recyclable materials. Mental Wellness Support: Engage in activities that promote mental health and wellbeing. Community Connection: Meet and build friendships with like-minded individuals in a safe and supportive environment.Skill Development: Gain new artistic skills and experiences under the guidance of experienced tutors. Safe Space: A welcoming place to express yourself, share ideas, and celebrate your work. Held monthly from July to December 2024 at venues in Barnsley and the local areas so people can experience therapeutic art's joy and benefits! We have collaborated successfully with Library Services, Barnsley MBC, Penistone Leisure Center, Creative Corner and other local community settings.Small Business Collaborations Additionally, we emphasised the importance of selling our merchandise by supporting small business collaborations and building relationships with shops, cafes, or local community centres that stock and sell our merchandise. We now have four venues.
Create Your Best Life podcast has also grown since its launch in July 2023, when we aim to grow followers and engage guest speakers in collaboration. A strategic plan to grow in 2025. YouTube channel: We’re thrilled with the YouTube channel Art for Wellness! This is a go-to space for all things creative and therapeutic. It's packed with visual demonstrations, quick art samples to spark your creativity, updates on our latest projects, and engaging podcasts where we dive into the benefits of art for mental health and wellbeing.Community Lead Projects: Collaborations and community-led projects remained a key focus, and we plan to expand our reach further through partnerships with local organisations and community centres. We evaluated past collaborations and streamlined networking commitments to maximise impact and efficiency.
