Transformation Education is a community hub for home educated children in and around Durham City. During the school year 2023-2024, the hub benefited the community in the following ways: - over 100 classes and events run serving 114 children (79 families) doubling our attendance from last year and also more than doubling the provision on offer. - 16 partnerships created with local teachers and companies - our first Nativity play! - raising the profile locally for home educated learners and linking them with high quality educational options to supplement home learning.
The company's stakeholders are families currently attending our provision as well as local home ed families that may be interested in beginning to attend. The business model was developed by a home ed mother in response to her own children's needs. On initial attendance, each family meets the director for a brief initial chat about their child and their needs. We also have an open online 'suggestion box' via our membership groups on various social media channels. We also seek feedback after each event or group of classes as well and act on this to continue to improve provision. Overall, feedback from stakeholders is accesses in a variety of formal and informal ways.
No remuneration was received
