| Basis of preparing the financial statements |
| Turnover |
| Turnover is recognised at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable for the sale of properties and amounts receivable for work done, and is shown net of VAT and other sales related taxes. Sales of development properties are recognised on completion of contracts. Project management fees are recognised on the provision of services. |

| Taxation for the year comprises current and deferred tax. Tax is recognised in the Statement of Income and Retained Earnings, except to the extent that it relates to items recognised in other comprehensive income or directly in equity. |

| Current tax is recognised at the amount of tax payable using the tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the statement of financial position date. |

| Deferred tax is recognised in respect of all timing differences that have originated but not reversed at the statement of financial position date. |
| Timing differences arise from the inclusion of income and expenses in tax assessments in periods different from those in which they are recognised in financial statements. | Included within other debtors at the year end is an aggregate amount of £529 (2023: £2,838) due from the directors J W Streetley and W B Streetley. Interest amounting to £nil (2023: £2,813) has been charged on the overdrawn balance at a rate of 2.25%. |
| There have been no advances which individually were considered material and no other individual advances exceeding £20,000 to the directors. |
| 8. | RELATED PARTY DISCLOSURES |
| At year end an amount of £nil (2023: £13,111) was due from The Consolidated Gold and Silver Pension Scheme for expenses paid on their behalf. J W Streetley and W B Streetley are both beneficiaries of the scheme. |
| Included within other creditors at the year end is an aggregate amount of £7,330 (2023: £20,501 other debtors) due to relatives of the directors. Interest amounting to £251 (2023: £331) has been charged on the overdrawn balances at a rate of 2.25%. The balances have been provided unsecured, interest free and repayable on demand. |
