Since inauguration in August 2023, the company has hosted 3 workshops for members of the armed forces community and community support staff, 2 Workshops promoting awareness and understanding within the wider community, released 62 Podcast episodes discussing community relevant issues, hosting discussions with guest speakers focusing on a range of topics such as Moral Injury, Military to Civilian Transition experiences, Mental Wellbeing, PTSD, Suicide Awareness and prevention, Social Isolation, and the experience and challenges of the military spouse and family. We have attended job fairs, networking and armed forces community events, discussing support and gathering stakeholder feedback. We have built collaborative relationships with other service providers and networks within the Armed Forces Community, supported Armed Forces Day events, Cadet Forces, and have delivered a presentation supporting Armed Forces Day for a large organisation, to promote the employment and value of Ex Armed Forces employees to employers.
Our Stakeholders are: Current and ex-members of the Armed Forces Community, Support Staff and organisations supporting and employing members of this community, Armed Forces Covenant Signatories, and Employers of ex-Armed Forces community members. We surveyed within existing veteran networks, focusing on civilian transition experiences and outcomes. We received 25 responses. Findings have informed and helped shape our services. Consultations with stakeholders are ongoing and built into all our events and networking. We use feedback to help shape and refine our support services, and create a network of collaborative support and partnerships that help increase reach and provision. Our podcast and social media platforms enable ongoing feedback and dialogue with our community. We contribute to discussions and other supportive activity, helping inform and increase the profile of support available to our community.
