4 Loans and interest amendment
An adjustment has been made in the current years accounts in respect of interest on loans made. Between the accounting years 2019-2023 interest has been charged at a rate of 1% where the loan rate was intended to be 3%. The interest rate for all loans for these years never changed from years 2015-2018 and was set at 3% and as specifically referenced in 2015 accounts.
Given the increase in inflation over the previous three years, this interest rate is being raised to 9%, with this rise taking effect from 1 July 2023.
An additional £52,227 interest has been charged as income in the current year to correct this loan to the balance as if 3% interest had been charged each year.
