| The trustees who are also directors of the charity for the purposes of the Companies Act 2006, present their report with the financial statements of the charity for the year ended 31 December 2024. The trustees have adopted the provisions of Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective 1 January 2019). |
| Objectives and activities |
| Objectives and aims of the charity are: |
| The advancement of the Christian Faith at Home and Abroad by proclaiming the truths concerning God's Son, Jesus Christ as taught in the Holy Bible. |
| Such other charitable purposes as shall further the attainment of the above including supporting missionary activities in the United Kingdom and overseas. |
| Promotion of religious instruction in accordance with the Christian Faith by means of a Sunday school and various ministries. |
| Public benefit |
| Grace Fountain Church Limited is committed to enabling as many people as possible to worship at our church and to become part of the Christian community in Wigan. Grace Fountain Church Limited also works in collaboration with other churches in Wigan to formulate how a united church can involve the many groups that live within our community. Our services put faith into practice through prayer, scripture, praise, worship and sacraments. |
| Our activities for the year were planned taking into consideration the Commission's guidance on public benefit and, in particular, the specific guidance on charities for the advancement of religion. In particular we try to enable ordinary people to live out their faith as part of the Christian community through: |

| Provision of pastoral care for people living in the community |
| Missionary work through outreach and provision of financial support to other various local, national and |

| The Trustees held 2 meetings during the year. |

| Members of Grace Fountain Church and their families came together as Baby Jadyn Ekemini Emmanuel was dedicated to the Lord. The Emmanuel family and all members came together to celebrate, and after service a Buffet was provided for all attendees. Open to all. |

| Pastor Clay Luamba, from Manchester Bethel Church was our Guest Speaker for the day. He preached on the subject “Be Strong and Courageous”. Open to members and the community. |

| The Church held 2 weeks to Fast and Prayer for the Nation, Community and Members and their families, lifting all needs to the Lord. |

| Baptisms were held for 5 of our members at Grace Fountain Church. A small buffet was held afterwards to celebrate. Church and family members were invited to attend this celebration. |

| Grace Fountain Church Youth Camp |
| Two days of fun and activities for GFC Youth and youth in the community. Teachings and Testimonies were used to encourage the youth in their Christian walk. A bouncy castle was hired for fun for all the children. Food was served throughout the day, and a wonderful day was had by all. |

A day of outreach and fellowship at GFC, where all our members dressed in their traditional outfits from various countries, and shared traditional food dishes with other members. Celebrations and Fellowship proceeded after the service, and all members and the community were invited. |

| 2.29. 5th December 2024 Carols Around the Tree with Standish Brass Band, hosted by our Local Councillor Ronald Conway, and the Aspull Forum, followed by a buffet for family, friends and the community at the Church. |

| Wigan Worship, held at Grace Fountain Church, with our Special Guest, the Mayor of Wigan and local Scholes and surrounding area Councillors. An outreach evening with Christmas Carols for the town of Wigan. A Buffet was provided after the service for the Mayor and Councillors, and all the attendees. |

| Thanksgiving Service |
| A Thanksgiving Service to God. Outreach for friends, family and the community. A sit-down dinner for all attendees was provided after the service, and a wonderful time of fellowship was had by all. |

| The Women of Grace Fountain Church held a special evening of celebrations, where a sit-down dinner was provided and dancing and fellowship after dinner. Gifts were provided via secret gifting for all the ladies present. Outreach to members and the community, and families. |

| Children’s Christmas Party. A wonderful day of party games and food and fellowship for all the children of Grace Fountain Church and family members’ children. Each child received a Christmas present and party bag. |

| Christmas Service held at GFC to celebrate the true reason for Christmas – Jesus Christ. A family service for all members and their family and open to the community. |

| A Service held in the evening to celebrate the start of a New Year, open to all. |
| 3. The Women’s Ministry – Women of Substance |
| The Women’s Ministry held monthly meetings every third Saturday throughout the year. With Praise and Worship, The Word, and Prayer. Open to the community and members. |
| 4. The Pearls – Young Women’s Ministry |
| The young Women’s ministry held weekly zoom meetings throughout the year covering a varied range of subjects to help and aid the growth of their relationship in Christ. |
| 5. Teaching Services |
| Teaching Services were held weekly throughout the year on Thursday evenings. |
| 6. Monthly Prayer Meetings, with Worship, including Fasting and Prayer for 2 days each month, were carried out at the end of each month. |
| 7. Weekly Wednesday Prayer Meetings were held throughout the year, lifting the needs of the members and the community and the Nation in prayer and prayer for specific needs. |
| Financial Performance |
| During the year the charity received income amounting to £119,954 (2023 £102,842). Total expenditure for the year was £97,778 (2023 £97,263). Thus giving a profit for the year of £22,176 (2023 profit £5,579). |
| At 31 December 2024 net book value of property, plant and equipment comprising church building, office and church equipment was £84,481 (2023 £88,874). Current assets comprising cash balances at bank and in hand and debtors balances totalled £115,811 (2023. £93,195). Liabilities of the charity at year end amounted to £1,658 (2023 £5,611). Thus total funds of the charity represented by total assets less liabilities was £198,634 (2023 £176,458). |

| Total giving to Missions during the financial year ending 31st December 2024 amounted to £2,635 (2023 £6,233) representing 2.2% (2023: 6.1%) of total income for the year. |

| Governing document |
| The charity is controlled by its governing document, a deed of trust, and constitutes a limited company, limited by guarantee, as defined by the Companies Act 2006. |
| Grace Fountain Church Limited is a charitable company limited by guarantee, incorporated on 14 May, 2002 as Greenough Christian Fellowship and registered as a charity on 22 November, 2002. The name changed to Grace Fountain Church Limited on 20th November 2014. The company was established under a Memorandum of Association which established the objects and powers of the charitable company and is governed under its Articles of Association. In the event of the company being wound up members are required to contribute an amount of £1. |
| Appointment of Trustees |
| As set out in the Articles of Association new trustees are elected by members of the charitable company providing they qualify in accordance with any criteria or policy for admission of members made by the trustees. |
| The trustees when complete consist of at least 3 and not more than 7 individuals. |

| Responsibilities and basis of report |
| As the charity's trustees of the Company (and also its directors for the purposes of company law) you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Companies Act 2006 ('the 2006 Act'). |
| Having satisfied myself that the accounts of the Company are not required to be audited under Part 16 of the 2006 Act and are eligible for independent examination, I report in respect of my examination of your charity's accounts as carried out under Section 145 of the Charities Act 2011 ('the 2011 Act'). In carrying out my examination I have followed the Directions given by the Charity Commission under Section 145(5) (b) of the 2011 Act. |

| I have completed my examination. I confirm that no matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe: |

| Basis of preparing the financial statements |
| The financial statements of the charitable company, which is a public benefit entity under FRS 102, have been prepared in accordance with the Charities SORP (FRS 102) 'Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective 1 January 2019)', Financial Reporting Standard 102 'The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland' and the Companies Act 2006. The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention. |

| All income is recognised in the Statement of Financial Activities once the charity has entitlement to the funds, it is probable that the income will be received and the amount can be measured reliably. |
| Expenditure |
| Liabilities are recognised as expenditure as soon as there is a legal or constructive obligation committing the charity to that expenditure, it is probable that a transfer of economic benefits will be required in settlement and the amount of the obligation can be measured reliably. Expenditure is accounted for on an accruals basis and has been classified under headings that aggregate all cost related to the category. Where costs cannot be directly attributed to particular headings they have been allocated to activities on a basis consistent with the use of resources. |
