About Olive Collective CIC Olive Collective CIC educates, shares, empowers, and supports women going through menopause and hormonal flux. This includes women with POI, PCOS, endometriosis, fibromyalgia, hysterectomy, cancer treatment recovery, and those experiencing all three stages of menopause. We are based in Milton Keynes and currently run workshops, a walking group, Pilates classes, and an online support network. We are a hub offering expert advice, lived experience, and community connection for women facing symptoms such as hot flushes, night sweats, fatigue, anxiety, low mood, and many others. There are 13 million women in the UK currently going through perimenopause, menopause, or post-menopause. A recent IPSOS Mori Poll revealed that over half of working women aged 40–65 experience three or more symptoms. A million women have left the workforce citing menopause as the reason. We are here to help change that narrative by equipping women and employers with knowledge and tools to thrive. What We Do & How We Help -Workshops We run regular in-person workshops in Milton Keynes. Topics have included anxiety, stress, sleep, menopause in the workplace, and a range of symptoms women commonly experience. We work with local experts to provide supportive, natural, evidence-informed strategies for symptom management. These workshops: - Raise awareness of menopause and hormonal changes - Offer support in an inclusive community setting - Provide handouts and PDFs via our Facebook group -Don’t Sweat It! Walking & Talking Our Way Through Hormones This is our weekly Monday morning support group: a 30-minute walk followed by a 30-minute informal talk on menopause-related topics. We have received funding from The National Lottery Community Fund for 40 weeks of walking and 12 themed workshops. So far, we've: -Reached our 1.5 million step goal - Delivered 8 of 12 workshops, with completion expected by July - Welcomed women into a growing community Facebook Support Group Our Facebook group, Dontsweatitwalkinggroup, has over 200 members. We post workshop content and PDF resources so women who can’t attend in person can access support. This serves those who are housebound, working, or distant. Signposting & Collaboration We signpost to local experts and specialist services where needed. We collaborate with healthcare providers, counsellors, and women’s health specialists. Upcoming Project: BEYOND Launching during International Menopause Month (October 9–18) in Greenwich. BEYOND is a community-led visual and storytelling project featuring: Women’s photos and menopause stories Digital and physical exhibition Celebrity and community voices Creative work from Women in Art, Sane Seven Photography, and others This is a movement - raising visibility, building empowerment, and creating a legacy of connection. Impact & Recognition MK Community Foundation: £3,000 grant in 2023 for 6 workshops National Lottery Community Fund: £10,000 for walks and workshops Places for People: £1,000 to help ongoing activities Built a trusted support network with strong community engagement Looking Ahead (2025-2026) - Launch BEYOND project - Expand Walking & Talking group in Milton Keynes - Continue free or low-cost workshops and wellness events - Grow digital community and on-demand resources - Apply for grants, speak to partners, and launch crowdfunding Conclusion Olive Collective has grown into a recognised hub supporting women with hormone-related challenges. Our work is driven by lived experience, compassion, and expert knowledge. Every woman deserves to thrive - not just survive - through menopause. We are committed to building a more inclusive, informed, and resilient future for women.
We held meetings between the Directors to work through funding opportunities and ways to take Olive Collective CIC forward. With each workshop we obtained feedback in order to help improve each workshop going forward. We obtained excellent and very good 4 & 5 star reviews for our workshops and 5 star reviews from our Pilates classes.
