Company activities and impact

In the last year we have added over 100 Cornwall based veterans to our supported base. With support from the Good Growth and Levelling Up scheme via Cornwall Council we secured some funding which helped us develop 26 volunteers, with a target of 12 to help us set up small groups within the Duchy. In doing this we set up beach cleans and community support groups throughout 12 areas of the county. Of course, we cannot count the amount of our wildlife that we have saved by removing hundreds of bags of man-made rubbish from our countryside and coastline. Within the self funded side of our company we have continued to help veterans in crisis, whether that be for domestic, financial or health reasons. We continue to support those veterans with suicidal idealisation but have now added a more permanent family support string to our bow. We have taken referrals from some of the biggest organisations in our field purely because of how local and how quickly we can react, these include the DWP, Defence Medical Welfare Service, NHS, RNA, SSAFA, RBL and Help for Heroes. We shall, of course, look for further funding this year to carry on our main business of veteran support as our own funds cannot last for much longer.
