Balance sheet statements

For the year ending 31 August 2024 the company was entitled to exemption under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.

The members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.

The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts.

Company activities and impact

Business Activity: I-bogey CIC is a not-for-profit EdTech organisation delivering STEAM-based education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Maths) to children and young people who face barriers to opportunity. Our innovative training model blends AI, robotics, animation, and digital storytelling eg Space Race with a strong focus on online safety, digital wellbeing, and social inclusion. We prioritise an inclusive, girl-friendly learning environment that supports all genders while actively encouraging girls and young women from underserved communities to engage with technology and creative industries. Key Focus Areas: STEAM Approach: Hands-on, creative tech learning combining arts and sciences to make complex subjects fun, practical, and accessible. Championing Girls in Tech: Actively addressing gender imbalances by creating safe, supportive pathways for girls to enter digital and tech fields. Inclusive Curriculum: Designed for all young people, with adaptations that reflect diverse experiences, learning needs, and cultural backgrounds. Peer Mentorship: Youth mentors support younger participants, building leadership, trust, and positive role modelling within the community. Digital Wellbeing & Safety: Equipping young people with the knowledge and tools to stay safe and thrive in digital spaces. Social Mission: Remove barriers to STEAM education for young people from underrepresented communities. Increase aspiration, confidence, and career opportunities in digital and creative sectors. Foster a generation of ethical, empowered, and digitally resilient young people. Profit Distribution: All income is reinvested to support our mission. No dividends are paid. Funding Sources: Charitable and educational grants Local authority and public partnerships Corporate sponsorships and tech-sector collaboration Earned income from workshops, training, and educational materials Planned Transition to CIO: I-bogey CIC is in the process of becoming a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO).
