Seren Dwt CIC has continued to produce and gift welcome boxes to all families of babiesborn with Down syndrome across Wales (estimated between 35-40 per year). We have continued to run fully funded by monthly baby and toddler group for families of youngchildren with Down syndrome where we invite external people in to introduce activities such as. Makaton signing We offer a safe space for families to connect, ask questions, andpick up information. During school holidays Seren Dwt CIC fund and run family days in different locations acrossSouth Wales encouraging the Down syndrome community across wales to come together.We run these events in locations that allow children and siblings of all ages to attend. Seren Dwt CIC fund regular online Down syndrome related education sessions/training webinars for families to attend through other well-established 3rd sectorgroups(e.g. DSUK, Lejeune Clinic) Through online platforms, Seren Dwt CIChas build a grown community of families with childrenwith Down syndrome encouraging sharing of experiences, questions, and support.
Our stakeholders are the families directly benefiting from the welcome boxes, events and support provided. Although no formal consultation has taken place we involve the stakeholders in planning events, venues etc to ensure we can involve as many people as possible.
