Our mission is to provide support that enables Hong Kong migrants to smoothly transition into their new lives in the UK. We focuses on 2 key areas that are essential for successful integration and well-being: Community Integration: Building a sense of belonging and creating a supportive network is a priority for our work. Through community events and social activities, such as Hong Kong Cultural Market, Lunar New Year Gathering, Moon Festival Celebration, Traditional Chinese writing class for teenagers, we have fostered connections between Hong Kong migrants and the local community. Well-being and Happiness: Transitioning to life in a new place can be overwhelming, and we are committed to supporting the mental health and emotional well-being of the HK community. By offering peer support groups and activities that promote sharing and happiness, such as gatherings for families, a mental health music session, we helped migrants from Hong Kong regain their hope, confidence, and joy in this new chapter of life.
We recruited 11 volunteers to be our CIC committee members. We have monthly meeting, to consult their opinions towards our service plan and activities, and to monitor CIC's operation, We used voting to make decision. All committee members can vote, and we use "the minority obeys the majority" to make final decision.
