Company activities and impact

During the financial year to August 2024, Selectivelife CIC delivered a range of impactful activities designed to support and empower vulnerable members of the community, particularly women. A key focus was on mental health and emotional wellbeing. We organised 5 series of virtual workshops aimed at vulnerable women, providing vital information on mental health awareness, coping strategies, and tools for resilience during these challenging times. These sessions offered a safe and supportive environment for participants to share, learn, and connect. In addition to virtual engagement, we hosted in-person community meet-ups in the Erith and Bexley areas. These events served to strengthen social connections, reduce isolation, and provide direct support to participants through networking and resource sharing. One of our flagship programmes in 2024 was a dedicated event addressing Domestic Violence. This event, conducted in partnership with similar organisations and 17 people in attendance, spotlighted the impact of domestic abuse and explored practical solutions, support systems, and prevention strategies. It featured expert speakers, survivor testimonies, and a couple of similar service providers, raising awareness and equipping attendees with essential knowledge and resources. Through these activities, Selectivelife CIC continued to advance its mission of promoting wellbeing, empowerment, and social cohesion within the communities we serve.

Consultation with stakeholders

At Selectivelife CIC, stakeholder consultation is an integral part of our organisational culture. We are committed to ensuring that our activities are inclusive, transparent, and responsive to the needs of the communities we serve. To this end, we actively encourage the participation of both internal and external stakeholders in shaping our programmes and operations. Throughout the year, stakeholder, including staff, volunteers, beneficiaries, partner organisations, and community representatives played a key role in the planning and delivery of our initiatives. Their input was sought through a combination of virtual consultations, in-person meetings, and informal feedback channels. This collaborative approach helped ensure that our events and workshops were relevant, culturally appropriate, and impactful. Stakeholders were also directly involved in facilitating our events, contributing their expertise, lived experiences, and local knowledge to enrich the quality and reach of our work. Their engagement not only strengthened community ownership but also promoted trust, transparency, and accountability in our decision-making processes. This inclusive model of stakeholder engagement continues to be fundamental to Selectivelife CIC’s mission of delivering responsive and sustainable community programmes.
