The company provides the public with articles, research, and stories about peacebuilding work in Northern Ireland, published on its website. It also provides training courses, events, and educational resources. The company was incorporated on 24 January 2020. During the financial year 2024–2025, the company’s activities have benefited the community in the following ways: 17,733 (+2,274 from the previous year) people were able to learn more about peacebuilding efforts in Northern Ireland, through 60 (+20) new articles published on its website; the company commissioned work from 9 people and created opportunities for 14 volunteers, including 2 internship placements; it continued to build its social media and online presence through the sharing of articles, podcasts, and updates about the work of Shared Future News with its audiences; it highlighted local efforts of building peace through its podcast series, Northern Peacebuilders, which included a public conversation event, with support from the Community Relations Council; it served as a partner organisation in an international peace journalism project of an exchange of journalists between Northern Ireland and Kosovo, for shared learning and practice of reporting on the troubled pasts in both places, and the 20 participants produced an set of co-authored articles, published at Shared Future News as well as at the Association of Journalists of Kosovo.
The CIC’s stakeholders are its subscribers, who are updated via direct correspondence and newsletters.
Two directors received remuneration for specific services provided to the company.
