Balance sheet statements

For the year ending 31 August 2024 the company was entitled to exemption under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.

  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Financial Reporting Standard 101

    Turnover policy

    Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, net of discounts and value added taxes. Turnover includes revenue earned from the sale of goods and from the rendering of services. Turnover from the sale of goods is recognised when the significant risks and rewards of ownership of the goods have transferred to the buyer. Turnover from the rendering of services is recognised by reference to the stage of completion of the contract. The stage of completion of a contract is measured by comparing the costs incurred for work performed to date to the total estimated contract costs.

    Tangible fixed assets depreciation policy

    Tangible fixed assets are measured at cost less accumulative depreciation and any accumulative impairment losses. Depreciation is provided on all tangible fixed assets, other than freehold land, at rates calculated to write off the cost, less estimated residual value, of each asset evenly over its expected useful life, as follows: Computer Equipment 33.33% Straight Line Method

Company activities and impact

National Pride is a 'facilitator' for the development of redundant land and buildings for the creation of intergenerational communities including housing and community facilities for the inclusion of all in our society - acting as the hub for a network of like-minded individuals and organisations who are aligned with the company mission, ethos and core values and range in size, strength and experience from SME to large global organisations. In the first year of operation the company extended the network to 100's of partners with 1000's of years' experience and connected with many local authorities and NHS Trusts, our customers, to understand their needs and requirements. We continue to develop relevant 'products' and progress projects in Scotland and across the UK. Our focus has been on our wellness themed product inclusive of short term accommodation, housing, with amenities and facilities to support the theme. Our projects intent is to attain social impact and social value providing employment and economic benefit opportunities in the regions where our developments are situated, affording homes for key workers and other vulnerable people in our society, attaining net zero and eliminating fuel poverty in communities and allowing everyone to live well and healthily. National Pride were appointed as a consultant to NHS England Healthy New Towns Initiative together with some of the countries largest house builders and housing associations in 2018.
