Since opening in September 2023, the CIC has focused on supporting local mothers by offering accessible and inclusive fitness opportunities within the community. Throughout the financial year, the organisation successfully delivered free fitness classes for local mams, enabling participants to improve their physical and mental wellbeing in a supportive and welcoming environment. By removing cost as a barrier, the CIC helped foster social connection, reduce isolation, and promote healthier lifestyles among women many of whom are balancing the demands of early motherhood. These sessions have had a positive impact not only on individual participants but also on their families and the wider community.
The CIC actively engaged with key stakeholders throughout the year to ensure its activities remained responsive to community needs. Feedback was gathered informally from participants during and after fitness sessions, with regular conversations helping to shape class times, formats, and future plans. Local mams were encouraged to share their ideas and experiences, allowing the CIC to adapt its services in a way that best supports their wellbeing. Ongoing dialogue with community partners and local organisations also informed development and helped identify opportunities for collaboration and outreach.
No directors’ remuneration was received for governance duties during the financial year. However, payments £114 + £46.60 was made to a director for delivering fitness sessions, in line with the CIC’s objectives and within the terms of its governing documents.
