Whittle Productions CIC creates and curates events that celebrate arts, culture and heritage, with a focus on South Warwickshire. Our vision is to produce work that resonates deeply with our local community. We collaborate with local artists, creatives, and organisations to deliver immersive, inspiring, and joyful experiences. Volunteers play a vital role in shaping and delivering our projects. We've built on strong foundations to grow our impact, delivering a range of successful events and partnerships. One of our flagship events was the second Leamington Christmas Tree Festival at All Saints’ Church, which showcased 68 uniquely decorated trees created by schools, community groups, charities, and businesses. Over 3,000 visitors attended. The festival raised over £1,300 for Helping Hands, a charity supporting vulnerable people in our area. It also featured creative outreach with five local groups, a relaxed opening session for visitors with sensory needs, and a popular dog-friendly day, ensuring the event was inclusive and widely accessible. We continue to sit on steering group of the Lights of Leamington and have supported BID Leamington’s application to the UK Shared Prosperity fund to support a new ‘pilot’ lights event (Spotlight.) We secured funding from The National Lottery Heritage Fund and Royal Leamington Spa Town Council to deliver an oral history project, Switched on Stories, preserving the legacy of the Lights of Leamington festival. The project started this financial year and will culminate in Feb'25. 2 more creative projects showcased our commitment to community storytelling and engagement. Our Home was a powerful collaborative exhibition sharing voices and experiences of Ukrainian refugees living in Warwickshire. Created through interviews, photography, and craft workshops, the project fostered understanding and empathy at a time of international crisis. We also supported Melted,an innovative sculpture project by Pangaea Sculptors' Centre. This combined public art, skills training, and live performance, transforming aluminium casting into a spectacle that drew in and educated the public.
Our stakeholders include local residents, artists, volunteers, community groups, schools, partner organisations, funders, and local authorities. Their input is vital in shaping our events and ensuring they are relevant, accessible, and inclusive. We engage stakeholders through surveys, feedback forms, informal conversations, and community outreach. We also hold planning sessions with partners and maintain regular communication with volunteers and collaborators. Their feedback has led to real changes in our work. For example, suggestions for more accessible events resulted in the introduction of relaxed sessions and a dog-friendly afternoon at the Leamington Christmas Tree Festival. Outreach workshops were also adapted to better meet the needs of schools and care homes. By listening and responding, we continue to create events that are shaped by and for the community.
