    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Tangible fixed assets depreciation policy

    Tangible fixed assets, other than freehold land, are stated at cost or valuation less depreciation and any provision for impairment. Depreciation is provided at rates calculated to write off the cost or valuation of fixed assets, less their estimated residual value, over their expected useful lives on the following basis: Straight line 33%

Company activities and impact

The company was initially set up to support those that are going through treatment for cancer of all types. It is now open to those that are in remission or those that may be affected by cancer including carers, families and friends. The main focus of the company is to provide support to those affected by cancer in a safe, friendly and non-judgmental manner whilst offering something different, something 'outdoors' where people can take in some fresh air, where they can get some 'exercise', appreciate the wildlife and plants whilst talking in a safe environment with others in the same situation.

Consultation with stakeholders

All members of LACE (stakeholders) are consulted regularly with regards to what future events would benefit them. This is verbally at events they attend. The past year we have added various events that have been requested by our members including: Mandella stone painting 26 June 2024 We have also continued to provide monthly meditation/gong bath and mindfulness sessions as requested by our members. Following last year’s success members requested the London sailing Barge Trip, departing from Malden be provided once more as well as an annual trip to Colchester Zoo. Requests have also been received to hold an annual picnic at Marks Halls to celebrate and remember our co-founder Jo Hammond.
