Over the course of this year, InspirED CIC continued to deliver impactful and community-rooted support to vulnerable and hard-to-reach young people through a combination of structured sports-based mentoring and creative engagement programmes. Our core provision remained focused on youth sports and mentoring, with regular non-contact martial arts and fitness sessions delivered to young people aged 11–18. These sessions, offered on both a one-to-one and small group basis, supported participants in developing discipline, confidence, and resilience. Many of the young people we worked with were referred by Social Services and Youth Offending Services. We are proud to have seen participants re-engage with education, reduce risky behaviours, and make positive life choices through their involvement in the programme. In addition to our core sports work, this year also saw the successful delivery of a youth music project, funded by Sandwell Council. The project provided young people with access to studio time and professional coaching in music production, using equipment purchased through the grant. This initiative offered an alternative creative outlet, particularly for those disengaged from education or at risk of offending. Participants not only developed technical skills but also built confidence and found new ways to express themselves constructively. We remain committed to empowering young people through accessible, meaningful and structured activities. Our work continues to be shaped by the needs of the communities we serve, and we look forward to building on the progress made in this period.
