Company activities and impact

2024–2025 has been a transformative year for Sphere Support CIC. Despite ongoing challenges facing our communities, including the cost-of-living crisis, housing insecurity, and social inequality, we have continued to grow, adapt, and respond with compassion, creativity, and resilience. With the support of our volunteers, funders, and partners, we've expanded our programs, reached new milestones, and made a lasting impact on the lives of over 2,000 individuals in Newham. Thank you for being part of this journey. Together, we’re building a more inclusive, empowered, and connected community. 2024–2025 Impact Highlights 2,318 individuals supported across all projects 8,000+ meals served through our Community Kitchen 480+ children engaged in Holiday Club programs 140+ women actively participated in Sphere Sisters 82 individuals referred to housing or financial support services 61 residents engaged in our quit smoking health initiative Key Programs & Achievements Community Hot meal/Food club/Parent support club Operating 5 days/week, serving hot meals and food parcels to individuals and families in need Delivered nutrition education, financial advice, and referrals to local support services Expanded outreach in partnership with Newham Food Alliance Sphere Sisters Women’s Empowerment Group Weekly sessions focused on confidence, mental health, employment, and social connection Monthly guest speaker events and workshops on domestic abuse, health, and personal development Social trips and networking activities, building a strong, supportive network Children’s Holiday Hub Delivered during Christmas, Easter, and summer holidays Reached 120 children per day, including those eligible for free school meals and SEND Supported by HAF, Mayor’s Fund (Kitchen Social), and local volunteers Activities included: arts & crafts, physical games, hot meals, trips and enrichment Quit Smoking Project Focused on two high-need groups: South Asian men and residents in social housing Conducted outreach across foodbanks, churches, mosques, and housing estates Trained community champions in Very Brief Advice (VBA) Community Engagement & Events International Women’s Day Celebration (March 2025): 90+ attendees National Volunteer week event Young people day trip to Fulham Reach Boat Club Black history Day Celebration Women Empowerment and Networking event Farm Day trip at Mudchute Park and Farm Southend and Sea, BBQ and networking event Bowling trips : Fun and interactive day Mother’s Day Trip to Nando’s: fun, bonding, and recognition for local mothers Monthly Coffee Mornings: safe spaces for connection and shared learning Training Sessions: digital skills, CV writing, English conversation groups Community Listening Forums: shaping our programs around real voices Partnerships & Collaborations This year, Sphere Support CIC proudly partnered with: Newham Council & HAF Programme (Department for Education) Mayor’s Fund (Kitchen Social) Healthwatch Newham Irons Supporting Foodbanks Serene Beginnings LexMedical Services Limited City Harvest City and Islington College Newham Food Alliance Local schools & faith groups University of East London (UEL) Arnold Clark One Newham
