Year Ending: 30 September 2024

Company activities and impact

The company has a website and physical retail shop in Aberaeron. Sales go to pay for the care and upkeep of rescued pigeons at Animal sanctuaries in the UK. We travel the UK to give educational talks on why pigeons need care and love. In 2025, we aim to set up a nationwide service to teach members of the public how to care for injured birds. We will also be able to direct other MOP to this service should they need help with injured birds. The sanctuaries we work with accept visitors from the local community, and social groups to help them understand the need for sanctuaries for wildlife in the UK. We speak at local group meetings such as the womens institute and Girl Guides association, to inspire and educate. We provide voluntary positions to local people within our shop. As a vegan shop with a Queer owner, we provide a safe space for marginalised local people from the LGBTQ+i and Vegan community to come and shop without fear of prejudice. We sell many products catered to those minority communities and are proud of our local following within these groups. We attend vegan festivals and fairs where possible to outreach to the general public and give more education on Vegan and wildlife issues

Consultation with stakeholders

The company stakeholders are local residents, customers and those who engage and volunteer with our fundraising and sanctuary work. We regularly discuss with donors and customers in person and via social media how we should spend the money that we raise from our company, we ask for regular feedback.
