During the financial year, Holy Trinity Romanian Church C.I.C. has continued to provide spiritual and community support to members of the Romanian community in Newcastle upon Tyne and the surrounding areas. Our activities are designed to foster inclusion, wellbeing, and personal development within a safe and supportive environment. Regular worship services have served as a central point for spiritual growth and community connection. We have also run a number of community initiatives, including: Sunday school classes for children, focused on moral development, cultural identity, and spiritual education; A women’s support group, offering emotional support, friendship, and empowerment through regular meetings and workshops; Youth clubs and wellbeing events, promoting mental health, positive relationships, and community engagement among younger members; Seasonal and cultural events, which help strengthen intergenerational ties and preserve Romanian cultural heritage. Through these activities, the company has made a positive impact on the lives of individuals and families, encouraging community cohesion and holistic wellbeing across all age groups.
The stakeholders of Holy Trinity Romanian Church C.I.C. include church members, local Romanian families, community volunteers, and youth and women participating in our support programmes. We maintain regular, open communication with our stakeholders through a variety of channels, including: Weekly community gatherings and church services; Informal discussions before and after services; Feedback received during Sunday school and youth club sessions; Periodic women’s group meetings; WhatsApp and Facebook community groups. Stakeholders have shared feedback and suggestions related to spiritual needs, community event preferences, and mental wellbeing support. As a result of this consultation, we have: Introduced additional activities for young people focused on wellbeing and identity; Organised specific sessions for women on managing stress and supporting family life; Adapted our community schedule to better suit working families, including later evening events. This ongoing consultation helps ensure that our services remain relevant, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of the Romanian community in Newcastle and surrounding areas.
