The CIC is a network for freelance movement practitioners who are based in East Anglia. There is no regular support or development provided by organisations in the region, so this CIC works to try and solve this problem through building a supportive and responsive community. In 2023 - 2024 we have offered: *Open Practice, Coffee Morning, Pro Class, Feel Good Friday sessions – Monday Morning + Friday evening training events for network members. - Offering opportunities to train, - Learn new skills - Supporting one another. *Monthly Online Meetup on the last Thursday of the month - Connecting to the network through the region - Supporting one another - Consulting and finding out the needs of the network. *Moving Forwards Arts Council England Project Grant – Continuous Professional Development Programme September 2023 – May 2024 - Continuous Training and learning new skills. - Confidence to keep working in the Performing Arts. - Connecting to the network through the region. - Connecting Artists to Artists outside of the region - Connecting Artists to Local Institutions - Average of 80 participants attending 4 x in-person development workshops - Average of 10 online participants for the 10+ virtual events that were offered. *Arts and Philanthropy Fundraising Network Fund – Fundraising Masterclasses/Events - Developing Fundraising Strategies for freelance/small companies - Expertise and time to explore ways to fundraise for projects. - Supporting one another in developing sustainable practices. *Discounted tickets / Group ticket to see shows - Seeing new performance work - Connecting to the network - Making performance work more accessible for our members to attend *Post-show Q&A co-hosted by the directors at Norwich Theatre Royal - Promoting the network to a larger audience *Monthly Newsletter distributed to the whole network - Keeping stakeholders up to date with opportunities/events in the region and beyond - Connecting to the network - Helping individuals to promote their work to new audiences * Introduction of Annual memberships for members. - ‘Pay what you can’ membership. - 31 members bought a membership and we now have an extended network of 75+ people.
Our stakeholders include 31 core members and 75 extended members of dance and movement professionals living in East Anglia. We consult our stakeholders monthly (either in -person or online via Zoom), we hold quarterly Advisory group meetings and we send surveys/forms for all members to fill in through our WhatsApp group, newsletters and emails. Directors meet quarterly for a performance review to address the feedback from our stakeholders. (Stephanie Townsed, Laura Anderson, Emma Zangs) Actions taken from feedback – - The creation of our CPD days (Moving Forwards and the Fundraising Events/Masterclasses) - CPD days were on a weekend when most stakeholders were free. - Meetups are being held online and in the evening to allow more people to attend. - Access support bursaries for childcare and travel from rural areas in East Anglia. - Online workshops when possible. - Recordings or workshops for people to access later on. - Access menu including quiet space, one-to-one support etc. - Coffee Mornings are open to children/pets. - Paid memebrships for members
