Echo Youth Theatre is a volunteer-led theatre company whose aim is provide flexible and affordable theatre activities for young people aged 8 to 18 years old in Norfolk. In this FY we have produced a Shakespeare play, a full scale musical, three short plays and an outdoor touring production. These productions have given 78 young people the opportunity to perform in high quality productions. In addition a further 89 young people experienced the audition process for the productions. Across the 6 productions this year, 8 young people have been involved in the production and technical side of theatre production. 11 children were sponsored through our Youth Enabling Scheme (YES Fund) which provided financial assistance towards fees for participating. In addition to our productions we have also run 22 theatre activity days funded by Norfolk County Council, which provided 528 spaces for children eligible for free school meals to participate at no cost. Our venue has been used by 11 separate community user groups as well as private hire by individuals.
Our stakeholders are our participating young people and their parents and we regularly ask for feedback on our activities and planning.
