Principal activities of the company

The Sahara Initiative CIC has made a meaningful contribution to the community during the financial year by continuing its efforts to raise awareness of mental health issues within BAME (Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic) communities. The organisation has been instrumental in enhancing the health and wellbeing of vulnerable groups through the delivery of therapeutic and counselling services, alongside various recreational activities aimed at promoting mental wellness. This year, the organisation successfully completed its flagship project, which focused on providing support for individuals impacted by COVID-related bereavement and loss. With the assistance of funding, the project concluded its counselling services, offering vital emotional support to those affected by the pandemic. In addition to its community work, the Sahara Initiative CIC expanded its mental health and wellbeing services to include support for its employees, demonstrating its commitment to creating a mentally healthy work environment within the organisation. Efforts were also made to increase the visibility of the Sahara Initiative CIC, ensuring that its important services reached a wider audience. Overall, the Sahara Initiative CIC has made a significant impact on improving mental health in the community, particularly within BAME groups, while also prioritising the wellbeing of its employees and strengthening its presence in the sector.
