Balance sheet statements

For the year ending 31 August 2024 the company was entitled to exemption under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.

The members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.

The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts.

These accounts have been prepared and delivered in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime.

The directors have chosen not to file a copy of the company's profit and loss account.

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Financial Reporting Standard 101

    Turnover policy

    Turnover represents the invoiced value of goods and services supplied by the company, net of value added tax and trade discounts.

    Tangible fixed assets depreciation policy

    Depreciation has been provided at 25% reducing balance for office equipment.

Company activities and impact

Provision of after-school clubs and workshops where primary school children get to engage with science experiments that they may not necessarily have the opportunity to do so within a normal classroom environment. This is also made accessible to children through work with local libraries, charity organisations and events, Thus encouraging an engagement and understanding of science. We also work with local brownies and Beavers groups so cater to the requirements needed for their badges.

Consultation with stakeholders

Abigail Green and David Reed are Both co-owners and therefor stakeholders. Regular informal meetings are held to discuss the managing of the business and any changes needed for the benefit of the business and the customers.
