The Sahara Initiative CIC has made a significant impact on the community during the financial year by continuing its work in raising awareness of mental health issues within BAME (Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic) communities. The organisation has played a crucial role in improving the health and wellbeing of vulnerable groups through the provision of therapeutic and counselling services, as well as other recreational activities that support mental wellness. This year marked the conclusion of the organisation's flagship project, which focused on providing support for COVID-related bereavement and loss. With the help of funding, the initiative successfully wrapped up its counselling services, offering essential emotional support to those affected by the pandemic. In addition, the Sahara Initiative CIC expanded its mental health and wellbeing provisions to include support for employees, underlining its commitment to fostering a mentally healthy environment within the organisation itself. The organisation also dedicated efforts to raising its profile and promoting the Sahara Initiative CIC, ensuring that its valuable services reach as many people as possible. Through these activities, the Sahara Initiative CIC has significantly contributed to improving mental health in the community, particularly within BAME groups, while also supporting the wellbeing of its employees and enhancing its overall presence.
