The directors present their report and the financial statements for the year ended 1 October 2024.
Principal Activity
The company's principal activity continues to be that of development of the horticultural site for letting to smaller horticulturalists.

Statement of Directors' Responsibilities
The directors are responsible for preparing the Directors' Report and the financial statements in accordance with applicable law and regulations.
Company law requires the directors to prepare financial statements for each financial year. Under that law the directors have elected to prepare the financial statements in accordance with United Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practice (United Kingdom Accounting Standards and applicable law). Under company law the directors must not approve the financial statements unless they are satisfied that they give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the company and of the surplus or deficit of the company for that period. In preparing the financial statements the directors are required to:
  • select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently;
  • make judgments and accounting estimates that are reasonable and prudent;
  • prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the company will continue in business.
The directors are responsible for keeping adequate accounting records that are sufficient to show and explain the company's transactions and disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the company and enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply with the Companies Act 2006. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the company and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.
The directors are responsible for the maintenance and integrity of the corporate and financial information included on the company's website. Legislation in the United Kingdom governing the preparation and dissemination of financial statements may differ from legislation in other jurisdictions.
Small Company Rules
This report has been prepared in accordance with the special provisions relating to companies subject to the small companies regime within Part 15 of the Companies Act 2006.

Chartered Accountant's report to the directors on the preparation of the unaudited statutory accounts of Friends' Field Ltd For The Year Ended 1 October 2024
In order to assist you to fulfil your duties under the Companies Act 2006, I have prepared for your approval the accounts of Friends' Field Ltd For The Year Ended 1 October 2024 which comprise the Income and Expenditure Account, the Balance Sheet and the related notes from the company's accounting records and from information and explanations you have given to us.
As a practising member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), we are subject to its ethical and other professional requirements which are detailed at http://www.icaew.com/en/membership/regulations-standards-and-guidance.
This report is made solely to the directors of Friends' Field Ltd , as a body, in accordance with the terms of our engagement letter dated 16 May 2019. Our work has been undertaken solely to prepare for your approval the accounts of Friends' Field Ltd and state those matters that we have agreed to state to the directors of Friends' Field Ltd , as a body, in this report in accordance with ICAEW Technical Release 07/16 AAF. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not accept or assume responsibility to anyone other than Friends' Field Ltd and its directors, as a body, for our work or for this report.
It is your duty to ensure that Friends' Field Ltd has kept adequate accounting records and to prepare statutory accounts that give a true and fair view of the assets, liabilities, financial position and profit or loss of Friends' Field Ltd . You consider that Friends' Field Ltd is exempt from the statutory audit requirement for the year.
We have not been instructed to carry out an audit of the accounts of Friends' Field Ltd . Notes to the Financial Statements
1. General Information
Friends' Field Ltd is a private company, limited by guarantee, incorporated in England & Wales, registered number 09582697 . The registered office is 26 Edwin Road Edwin Road, Sheffield, S2 3ND.
2. Accounting Policies
2.1. Basis of Preparation of Financial Statements
The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with Financial Reporting Standard 102 section 1A Small Entities "The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland" and the Companies Act 2006.
2.2. Turnover
Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable.
2.3. Tangible Fixed Assets and Depreciation
Tangible fixed assets are measured at cost. The assets consist entirely of land which has not been depreciated. The land is held for a social purpose and so has not been treated as an investment property in these accounts.

2.4. Taxation
Income tax expense represents the sum of the tax currently payable.
The tax currently payable is based on taxable surplus for the year. The company's liability for current tax is calculated using tax rates that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the end of the reporting period.

7. Related Party Transactions
Heather Hunt, a director of the company, loaned £20,000 to the company for five years in November 2015, and a further £20,000 in November 2019. The loans are unsecured and interest free.
