Company activities and impact

The CIC has held a number of events over the course of the year to raise awareness of how individuals can reduce their carbon footprint. These have included: Presence at Fairtrade and Repair Cafes held at the Parish Hall every month. These have benefited the community by raising awareness of how individuals can reduce their carbon footprint. A first ever Walking Carnival in the village held on 30 June 2024. This benefited the village by encouraging a diverse set of groups to participate and learn more about climate issues. A fundraising curry event was held to create awareness and promote local businesses. Creating a pop up stand at the Village Show promoting carbon footprint awareness and encouraging inidividual community actions. A joint event with Sustainable Backwell to promote planet friendly holidays and raise funds for the Westleigh School solar project was held in the Parish Hall.
