ToyBox Project takes in unwanted toys and gifts them to families and organisations in need. We provide toys and educational supplies to families, schools, community groups, asylum seekers, breakfast/after school clubs, contact centres and healthcare. All toys are free to those in need. Our initiative helps keep toys out of landfill making it good for the environment.
We engage with communities and organisations without Cardiff and surrounding areas. We have recently expanded our service offering into Blaenau Gwent. We ask the organisations who receive toys from us to provide feedback or to leave a review on our Facebook page. All feedback received has been positive, but it does highlight that we require larger premises to enable us to accept more donations and to help more organisations each week. We have been asked by colleges to provide placements for their students but we are currently unable to do that, but strive to achieve by the end of 2023. We have been asked by the local community to open an affordable new and used toy store due to one not existing within the community.
