The company’s general activities during the year were for provision of free training (physical one-to-one & online virtual training) in the necessary skills in fashion design that are focuses on the contemporary African fashion, fabric, patterns, textiles, and design.

Balance sheet statements

Company activities and impact

Africa Fashion Week Initiative CIC exists to empower and support young people, particularly from ethnic minority backgrounds, to develop their creative and entrepreneurial skills within the fashion and cultural industries. We do this by providing access to training, mentorship, exhibitions, and platform opportunities that encourage self-expression, confidence building, and career development.

Consultation with stakeholders

The company’s stakeholders are – The youths within the Black Asian and Minority Ethnic Communities (BAME). These stakeholders were consulted by organisation regarding the benefits the organisation activities brings to the community. Primarily young people aged 16-30 from underrepresented ethnic backgrounds across the UK, especially those from economically disadvantaged communities with limited access to creative industry opportunities
