Balance sheet statements

For the year ending 30 April 2025 the company was entitled to exemption under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.

The members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.

The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts.

These accounts have been prepared and delivered in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime.

The directors have chosen not to file a copy of the company's profit and loss account.

  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Other accounting policies

    Going Concern The financial statements have been prepared on a going concern basis. The company's ongoing activities are dependent upon the continued support of the director who has undertaken to provide such support for the foreseeable future. If the going concern basis were not appropriate, adjustments would have to be made to reduce the value of assets to their recoverable amount, to provide for any further liabilities that may arise and to reclassify fixed assets as current assets and long term liabilities as current liabilities.

Company activities and impact

Worked with many local home shelters, women's shelters, disabled and vulnerable people in the North West of England prioritising in Blackpool. Created a forum for those in need of help to discuss local and national issues around homelessness, disabilities and LGBT Promoted local services that help people within Blackpool and the Northwest with mental health problems, financial issues, drug and alcohol issues. Worked with local NHS and Independent outreach services Given away even more than last years 9000 items to over 12000 items including Children's/Women's/Men's clothing, household items and entertainment items including DVDs/CDs/Books that have been impacted with rising bills. Created a safe space that protects all those under the umbrella of the Equality Act 2010

One Community Blackpool CIC stakeholders are local people we used local forums to concluded with keeping prices in the shop at £1 - £5 and with the impact of food and fuel poverty have given more clothing away than sold but we shall continue to Give clothing away to those who need help Keep prices at an average of £1 Creating more local links with other CICs and Voluntary Group Sharing resources
