  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, net of discounts and value added taxes. Turnover from the sale of goods is recognised when the significant risks and rewards of ownership of the goods have transferred to the buyer. Turnover from the rendering of services is recognised by reference to the stage of completion of the contract. The stage of completion of a contract is measured by comparing the costs incurred for work performed to date to the total estimated contract costs.

COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

ANYTHING GOES CIC

Company Number: 12297008 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 30 November 2024

Company activities and impact

This year, we received a community grant which enabled us to install a soft play area for the under 5s in our activity room. This has been great for families with small children who prefer a quieter compact area to socialize and bring their children for a play date. As the popularity of the play area grew, we started private hire for parties and play groups, which have been very popular with families. We now work with Navigo who rent the observatory on the second floor for private counselling sessions. Alongside these new developments, we have kept the book room, art and crochet groups going. We have also included free board games for families to use when they visit the observatory space when its open for public sessions With two of the other shops like ours in the area closing, our waiting list for shelf space has got even longer, we are still getting new customers find us as well as holiday day trippers who make Anything Goes a destination place to visit now. We have also been runner up in two separate community award evenings.
