Although the CIC has not yet traded independently during this financial year, we have taken key steps toward delivering our mission. Two staff members were employed under our affiliated limited company in roles aligned with the CIC’s objectives, supporting inclusive sports, music, and cultural events that bring people together through hospitality. These roles have also provided training in industry-standard software, supporting mid-career professionals transitioning into new fields. These early actions reflect our commitment to creating opportunities and building capacity for future community-focused programmes.
One of our primary stakeholders is the landlord of one of the sites currently used to offer simple but affordable accommodation. This site supports tradespeople, short-term students, and recent graduates entering the local workforce groups that align with our CIC’s focus on accessibility and opportunity. We have engaged in conversations with the landlord to discuss our longer-term intention to explore development opportunities that would enhance the site’s community impact. Feedback was positive, and we continue to assess potential for future improvements in line with community needs and our objectives.
No remuneration was received
