In the space provided below, please insert a general account of the company’s activities in the financial year to which the report relates, including a description of how they have benefited the community. During this financial year, Brazukas Universe, as a CIC continued to deliver community benefits to the established Brazukas Universe volleyball club, serving young adults from diverse backgrounds, including international people and LGBTQIA+ individuals. Building on the club's existing success, we expanded our community impact and inclusive programming.
Member Consultation on Trans Rights and Inclusion Brazukas actively discussed during social events the concerning issue of increasing transphobia and the risk of excluding trans players. Through these discussions, members provided input on how the club should represent their views, leading to our decision to advocate for trans-inclusive policies at Volleyball England Federation meetings. Regular Feedback Collection The director regularly gathered feedback from members, particularly regarding requests for more social games and meetups after training sessions. This feedback was taken on board and implemented through expanded social programming. Collaboration with LGBTQIA+ Sports Organisations We engaged in discussions with other gay clubs across different sports modalities through social media platforms, sharing our values and addressing risks in an increasingly intolerant society. These conversations helped shape our advocacy approach and community support strategies. International Engagement We established dialogue with BB Volley in Barcelona regarding potential collaboration and mutual promotion, expanding our international network and learning from similar organisations serving diverse communities.
