Company activities and impact

The Hope-Gordon Foundation, a Community Interest Company (CIC) established in August 2022, has made contributions to the community during its first full financial year, ending on August 31, 2023. Operating from its base in Peckham, London, the foundation focuses on supporting families affected by stroke, particularly those with young children. The Essentials Sack Project: This initiative aimed to provide 100 newborn baby sacks filled with essential items to mothers experiencing financial hardship in inner-city London. The project successfully raised £80 from four supporters, demonstrating community engagement and support. Monthly Community Events: The foundation organized monthly events throughout the year, offering families access to cultural experiences, seasonal activities, and educational trips. These events were designed to enhance the cultural capital of children from deprived backgrounds, providing them with opportunities they might not otherwise have. In the financial year ending August 31, 2023, the Hope-Gordon Foundation reported a turnover of £4,066. Despite operating at a loss of £495, the foundation's commitment to its mission remained steadfast. Through its targeted initiatives, the Hope-Gordon Foundation has made a meaningful impact on the community by raising awareness on some important issues. By providing essential resources, cultural experiences, and a safe space for engagement, the foundation has contributed to enhancing the well-being and opportunities of children and families in Peckham.
