COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

COMMUNITY PATCH PROJECT CIC

Company Number: 15041260 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 31 August 2024

Company activities and impact

During the reporting period, Community Patch Project CIC focused on expanding access to sustainable, community-grown food across our neighbourhood. We created and managed a food-growing space using volunteer labour and provided free produce to individuals and food banks whilst selling a small quantity to local grocers and restaurants. We also ran educational workshops on environmental sustainability and food cultivation, helping to strengthen local knowledge, reduce food insecurity, and improve community wellbeing. We also managed to host a community event where we cooked and served produce from the garden.

Consultation with stakeholders

Our stakeholders include local residents, volunteers, foodbanks and local councils. We conducted volunteer meetings, informal community feedback sessions during open garden days. Stakeholder input shaped garden expansion priorities, what to focus on growing, workshop topics, and investment in infrastructure like water tanks and polytunnels.
