Over the past financial year, we have continued to deliver meaningful support to our local community through a range of outreach and food based initiatives designed to reduce food insecurity, foster social connection, and support vulnerable groups. We have funded and provided a series of community meals through Newydd Catering, ensuring individuals and families facing hardship could access warm, nutritious food in a welcoming environment. In addition, we hosted several Fish & Chip and Bingo nights, bringing people together for an affordable evening of food, fun, and companionship, helping to combat loneliness and social isolation. Our two community food pantries remain a vital part of our service, offering heavily subsidised groceries to those in need. These pantries have supported hundreds of households throughout the year, offering dignity, choice, and consistency during challenging times. We also donated funds to a local cafe, enabling them to provide free meals to children in the local community, ensuring no child goes hungry during school holidays and beyond. In a gesture of appreciation and care for our older residents, we funded an afternoon tea event for a local care home, providing both delicious refreshments and joyful company for those who are often isolated. These activities reflect our continued commitment to social impact and ensuring that the most vulnerable members of our community are supported, nourished, and valued.
