Parent Skills2Go is a community-focused organisation that delivers a wide range of work-shops, activities, trips, and events designed to support and empower local families. During the financial year, the company organised regular educational and skills-based workshops for parents, such as financial literacy, sewing, ESOL, My Child & Me, Wellbeing and fitness. As well as creative and recreational activities for children, such as holiday clubs and afterschool club and inclusive family events aimed at fostering stronger community bonds, these include celebrations for International Women’s Day, Father’s Day and Black History Month. These initiatives have directly benefited the local community by promoting lifelong learning, encouraging positive parenting, reducing social isolation, engaging young people and providing affordable access to enriching experiences. The overall impact has been a more engaged, supported, and connected community.
ParentSkills2Go stakeholders are Funders Beneficiaries – Parents, carers, guardians, and their children Young people Volunteers Staff We asked our young adults (ages 18-25) on how to make our Young, Creative and Empowered programme more interactive, fun and supportive for the young people group. They used a workshop and online survey looking at previous activities for the young people and what's currently trending. The feedback was on having a desire for peer-led activities and real -life events with a positive environmental impact. The young adults recommended a creative writing workshop for the holiday activity. This was positively received by the parents and other young people, extending the programme to younger aged children to use and capture their imagination. The outcome was the production of a magazine titled 'The power of food', using interactive sessions to create drawings, stories looking into the good, bad and ugly sides of food production on the environment. The magazine attracted a lot of appreciation from our funders, parents and general public for the work our young adults/other children produced.
The total amount paid or receivable by directors in respect of qualifying services was £51,500 There were no other transactions or arrangements in connection with the remuneration of directors, or compensation for director’s loss of office, which require to be disclosed.
No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
