1. STATUTORY INFORMATION

2. ACCOUNTING POLICIES

Basis of preparing the financial statements
These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with Financial Reporting Standard 102 "The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland" including the provisions of Section 1A "Small Entities" and the Companies Act 2006. The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention.

Turnover
Turnover represents ground rents receivable.

Taxation
Current tax is recognised at the amount of tax payable using the tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the balance sheet date.

Tangible fixed assets
Tangible fixed assets comprise freehold land and buildings and car parking spaces, held as investments.

No depreciation is provided on the freehold property as the directors consider the depreciation charge to be immaterial. The directors do not consider it necessary to perform an annual impairment review as they consider the net realisable value exceeds cost.

7. RELATED PARTY DISCLOSURES

Swedish Quays Residents Society Limited deals with the management of flats 1 to 95, Swedish Quays, Rope Street, Southwark, London, whilst Swedish Quays (Freehold) Limited collects ground rents on the freehold.

Swedish Quays (Freehold) Limited has an agreement with Swedish Quays Residents Society Limited under which it will operate an intercompany account recording amounts paid by the Society on behalf of Swedish Quays (Freehold) Limited, and amounts received by the Society. The accounts show an amount owed to Swedish Quays Residents Society Limited by Swedish Quays (Freehold) Limited as at 28th September 2024 of £14,010 (2023 - £12,882).
