Company activities and impact

As we reflect on the achievements of The Farming Mother for the year ending 2024, we are pleased to report significant growth in our community based support and an expanding network within the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) community. Our mission remains steadfast: to provide a safe and supportive environment where families can access guidance, mentoring, and wellbeing services, as well as alternative education opportunities. Throughout this year, we have witnessed a notable increase in the number of children and families seeking our services, along with a rise in referrals through our partnerships with essential education and healthcare services. This surge underscores the critical need for our offerings and highlights our role as a vital resource for those navigating the complexities of SEND. 2024 The Farming mother cic secured a new site to deliver its vital services and this has allowed us to expand at an extraordinary rate. At The Farming Mother, we are dedicated to transforming the educational landscape for children and their families. Our innovative approaches, which incorporate nature, space therapy, and kinetic learning, are designed to sow the seeds of change. We offer alternatives such as our ASDAN courses within a trauma-informed, supportive environment, emphasising that our commitment to support is comprehensive and includes the entire family. Our tailored lessons and support cater to each child's unique needs, helping them thrive in a space that promotes self-regulation. By fostering an environment that is inclusive and neuro affirming, we ensure that children can engage effectively in their learning journeys This year, we successfully secured additional grant funding, marking a significant milestone for our organisation. This funding will enable us to assist families who opt for education outside traditional settings due to SEND, we have become an essential support for those facing financial barriers. we have welcomed new referrals from local authorities and schools, including children on reduced timetables accessing alternative educational provisions. This collaborative approach is a testament to the progress we are making and the impact we are having on the community. Beyond supporting children and families on the ground, we remain committed to raising awareness about the unique challenges facing those within the SEND community. We continue to Connect with a range of organisations to collaborate and expand the support available. The growing support and engagement from our community affirm the importance of our work. The Farming Mother’s alternative education and wellbeing farm continues to bridge the gap for many families, and we are excited about the future as we build on our successes and explore new opportunities for growth and impact.
