1. General Information
Nurturing Connections Ltd is a private company, limited by shares, incorporated in Scotland, registered number SC675532 . The registered office is 93 Princes Street, Ardrossan, North Ayrshire, KA22 8DQ.
Nurturing Connections was established as a not for profit Limited Company with charitable objectives on 25 September 2020. Located in Ardrossan, we aimed to open a month later. However due to the pandemic we only initiated services with children in April 2021 when schools returned after the second lockdown. Since then we have opened two days per week on Thursdays & Friday’s.
We cover North Ayrshire and are open to referrals from all three Ayrshire authorities and beyond, wherever our location is easily accessible to families/ carers using our services. We currently have provided services to clients living in North Ayrshire, East Ayrshire and South Ayrshire, with funding sources from North Ayrshire, Glasgow, South London, or privately funded referrals from North Ayrshire and East Ayrshire.
Our current development plans include:
•To become known as a quality service for children & families in need of therapeutic support
•We have recently applied for charitable status
•Over the course of the next year to expand the service
•To seek dedicated funding to support specific service areas eg Kinship care, post adoption, foster care, and children who are care experienced
•To establish core transitional funding to support our expansion to a full time service and expand the range of provision we are able to offer
•Increase accessibility through creating a fund to subsidise and support private referrals
•To implement OSCR good governance for charities
