I Am Loud CIC benefits the community (Poetry Scene) by providing opportunities at all stages of their artistic journey. We have provided both free and paid for workshops for writers and performers from beginners to professionals. Provided paid opportunities to perform at competitive rates with high show production, providing artists with their first professionally paid booking. Brought paid shows to less frequented areas of the country bringing high quality shows to areas where opportunities are rarer for audiences and performers. By partnering with established festivals and local artists, we expand the community through cross promotion. In addition to this we provide other event organisers and performers a chance to network and collaborate in the future. By filming our events and publishing them only, we provide artists with professional level footage that they can (and many have) use to submit for other opportunities such as awards, future shows or funding.
Yes, Directors are in constant communication both with each other. We also provide online and in person opportunities for artists and audience members to provide feedback. Some members have been consulted on specific areas. The directors are in constant contact and work collaboratively to fulfill the goals of the organisation. Both short and long term. We provide plenty of chances at our shows for the community to engage with us and provide feedback and suggestions for the future. We also provide online forms for the community to give anonymous feedback. We have approached certain members of the community where they have specialized knowledge in areas we have identified as areas we can improve such as Accessibility, Performer Safe Guarding and safety and Environmental best practice. Much of the feedback/consultation we receive from the community is complimentary towards our production level, communication and the opportunities we provide and the importance of the organisation within the scene. However in the cases where we receive critique or constructive criticism, the directors take this feedback and attempt to find a solution. In the event where more information is needed, we then bring our thoughts back to the community.
