Harton Hub CIC was set up to combat issues surrounding social isolation after COVID 19, our aim is to create a sustainable community within Harton village and the surrounding areas. Harton Hub CIC is made up of local village business owners, local residents and none local residents. Having a social media platform like Facebook has helped us listen to what the community is asking for and needs help with. We hold regular two week meetings in the three local pubs in the village, there, we discuss an agenda of topics and feedback from the local community. For the year 2023 through to 2024 we as a CIC had to think outside the box to raise funds for our community events especially our christmas fair. We raised the majority of the funding by arranging raffle prizes and obtaining donations. 2023-24 has been a difficult year in trying to maintain the standard of the previous year with limited funds available however despite this we have maintained the community planters, flowerbeds and hanging baskets. Our events continue to provide the community the opportunity to give back, volunteer, develop new skills, build networks and create jobs.
