1. STATUTORY INFORMATION

Airports Bureau Systems Ltd is a private company, limited by shares , registered in England and Wales. The company's registered number and registered office address can be found on the Company Information page.

2. ACCOUNTING POLICIES

Basis of preparing the financial statements
These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with Financial Reporting Standard 102 "The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland" including the provisions of Section 1A "Small Entities" and the Companies Act 2006. The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention.

Turnover
Turnover represents amounts receivable for licence fees, maintenance and support, development projects and other specific projects net of VAT and trade discounts. Licence and service revenues are recognised as the right to income accrues throughout the period and are based on the provisions of the underlying contracts. Development revenues are recognised as the work is performed and invoiced in arrears. Transactional revenues are recognised when the transaction takes place.

Tangible fixed assets
Tangible fixed assets are stated at cost less depreciation. Depreciation is provided at rates calculated to the write off the cost less estimated residual value of each asset over its expected useful life, as follows:

Research and development
Research expenditure is written off to the profit and loss account in the year in which it is incurred. Development expenditure is written off in the same way unless the directors are satisfied as to the technical, commercial and financial viability of individual projects. In this situation, the expenditure is deferred and amortised over the period during which the company is expected to benefit.

Foreign currencies
Monetary assets and liabilities denominated in foreign currencies are translated into sterling at the rates of exchange ruling at the balance sheet date. Transactions in foreign currencies are recorded at the rate ruling at the date of the transaction. All differences are taken to profit and loss account.

Pensions
The pension cost charged in the accounts represent the contributions payable by the company during the year.

Going concern
At the time of approving the financial statements, the directors have undertaken an assessment of the adequacy of the resources available to the company. The directors have a reasonable expectation that the company has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future and accordingly continue to adopt the going concern basis of accounting in preparing the financial statements.
