Company activities and impact

The Company runs a network for East and South East Asian creatives working in scripted television (fiction) in the UK. We focus on supporting those working on the development of script shows, including writers, producers and directors. We run various activities to support the network. In the financial year, we: - held various ‘Ask Me Anything’ talks with people in the industry which helped to educate the ESEA network; organised social events for the members to network, including a Lunar New Year social; - obtained a place for 2 writers to attend Canneseries Writers Club, and we supported travel costs for them to attend; - collaborated with ITV to host a screening event for RED EYE, on which one of our network members was a writer, an another was a trainee script editor. We held a panel discussion with those members and ESEA cast members in the series; - ran an online social network for members.

Consultation with stakeholders

The company’s stakeholders are the members of the network that it runs. We regularly ask for feedback on new activity ideas using our online social network. For example, we consulted with members on whether to introduce a mentorship scheme, which we launched in the following financial year.
