Principal activities of the company

The directors present their report with the financial statements of Stock Arts CIC for the year ended 30 September 2024. The companies principal activities are promoting social inclusion and community development with a focus on delivering live events, and workshops to individuals and groups within Stockport. The principal activities of the company during the year included: Setting up St Mary's Church as a live event space and working with local companies to support it's mission of promoting Stockport. Securing funding for the planning and production of four live events, through two successful grant applications of £5000 and £21375 (the latter secured for future events outside of this financial year). Offering affordable tickets to the local community to encourage participation. All activities undertaken during the year were aligned with the company’s community interest objectives and the directors are pleased to report that Stock Arts CIC continues to grow its impact in the community, securing new funding opportunities to support its mission.

3. Financial Commitments

At the reporting date, the company had the following KPIs to report on in relation to deferred income from September 2023 of £21375. This relates to UKSPF deliverables, which are four live music events and one programme of educational workshops to be delievred between 1st October 2024 and 31st March 2025. There were no other material financial commitments at the balance sheet date.

Company activities and impact

During the financial year, Stock Arts CIC continued to fulfil its social purpose by delivering a range of live events that benefited individuals and communities across the local area, promoting a diverse and inclusive programme of live events and offering a platform for local musicians and performers within Stockport. Through these events progress has been made on engaging the community in workshops, which have been scheduled for the next financial year. Key Outcomes for 2023-24: 4 Live events delivered over this period, including artists directly linked to Stockport 755 new audience members, an increase in footfall of 755% 20% of tickets made affordable for the local community 8 freelance workers supported Supported promotion of the use of St Mary's Church, increasing events within the space by an additional 3 events with external organisations Feedback has been consistently positive, resulting in core funding secured for 24-25 through UKSPF.
