South Birmingham Archery Club is registered with the National Field Archery Society (NFAS). Beginners Times: Saturday 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. Members: May shoot anytime, two archers must be on the field when shooting. Beginners welcome, bows, arrows, arm guards and gloves are provided for beginner's archery sessions. Qualified National Field Archery Society (NFAS), Archery Coaches. South Birmingham Archers is a non-profit organisation created to provide an enjoyable and competitive recreational activity for all families or individuals at affordable prices. All funds are used to keep the membership fee as low as possible so families can take part in the sport. THE CLUB We are a friendly club primarily involved in field archery for all ages and abilities shooting traditional longbow, recurve, and compound bows. The club is a field archery club which trains the beginner archer to compete in local and national competitions within the National Field Archery Society. There is a basic beginners six week course including a final forest field shoot. The beginner will learn with a trainer recurve bow under supervision of qualified NFAS coaches. We welcome all archers' beginners or long established and encourage them to enjoy shooting whether these interests are socialising, fun or competition. The club is an integral part of the community working with Sport Birmingham organisation, and now has two satellite clubs at Birmingham Schools, Wheelers Lane Technology College, and Hall Green Secondary School.
The club has committee meetings and an annual general meeting AGM for anyone member in the club to raise any issues or concerns and where possible improve what the club has to offer to the local community. The club work in partnership with Maypole Football club where the archery club range is situated.
