Preloved Sports CIC is a community company Run purely by volunteers who work full time. Our mission is to build a sustainable model that uses preloved sportswear to provide inspiration, opportunities, and support to others. Our purpose is to use fitness as a driver for change. In the 2024 year, the directors reviewed the Purpose and mission to ensure Preloved Sports CIC was more aligned to its future goals. Preloved Sports CIC works with many local communities, charities & not for profits to work collectively with people to improve social sustainability. We take in Second-hand sportswear / Seconds From companies who are unable to sell Particular items whether that be down to manufacturing defects etc or ex-stock that they cannot sell on. We will Publish these items on our website for sale and or sell via trade shows such as the National running show as well as at smaller pop-up shops at races. Some items we receive through the post are not necessarily sellable on our shop or at shows and so we work with different communities, sole traders, collectives and fashion students (Uni projects) to redistribute or recycle the materials into something new whether that be product or process.
Preloved Sports CIC wants to work with companies to improve accessibility too high-quality clothing and equipment. In 2024 Preloved Sports CIC attended the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham for a couple trade shows. Each trade show was to do with different sports e.g running / cycling & the outdoors (general) - Each show brought us opportunities to speak to people from all different backgrounds about how they got into sport etc & what could be improved within the industry. Preloved Sports CIC has also spoken with many different organisations Who are wanting to improve their socio economic and environmental sustainability. Partnerships have been formed, and collaboration is the backbone of ensuring that working together makes a difference. Not just on a national level - but on a local level where it matters the most. After consultation, 2024 welcomed a new addition to the team: Andy became our first employee Who works as a Business Development manager to establish and strengthen our relationships with the vast sporting network. His hard work has driven us forward as we look to attend bigger events as well as utilise our van which we have converted into a mobile community hub.
