The company works with community groups and in community settings to create stories with a particular emphasis on local heritage, the local environment and wellbeing. We started the business in September 2021. During our financial year 2023 - 2024, our activities have benefited the community in the following ways: We worked with Hartlepool Folk Festival on their Telling The Bees Project and also managed their community volunteers. Providing workshops and site specific walk about story telling performances for their festival in 2023 as part of their free family festival. We worked with Redcar Borough Council on their Turning Tides Festival providing stewarding and project management. We continued the work with a group of residents and businesses at Hartlepool Headland to collect stories of local heritage. We used these stories to create a series of characters as a part of “Hartlepool Welcomes” as part of tall ships. this was a collaborative project with Gobbledegook Theatre and BloomInArt. These characters have become part of an ingoing project to bring heritage to live via Augmented Reality Trails. This project was funded by Heritage Lottery Fund and PFC Trust. The trsil will connect local heritage sites and provide free outdoor actvities for families. This will also include renovation work on physical story boards across Hartlepool Headland. Another heritage resource that is fee for the community. We took part in a residents with Periplum Theatre to develop skills for creating outdoor work.
