Company activities and impact

GlastonBeoley CIC runs to raise funds for local charities and community support groups. Our customers (donors) get unique and diverse entertainment, both music and the spoken word. Although previously running from 2017 as an unincorporated community group, the CIC opened for business in September 2020. During the financial year 2023-2024, the CIC activities have benefited the community in the following ways: We give local artists a platform for diverse expression. We support new and unsigned artists We support our local venues and partners by bringing them additional trade We donate our surplus revenue to local charitable and community-benefiting causes We provide volunteering opportunities to all walks of life

Consultation with stakeholders

The company’s stakeholders are both our volunteer musicians and event stewards, and also our event customers. We run regular surveys with our customers as to what they would like to see at our events, and we have feedback survey forms available from our website. We also take ideas and suggestions from our social media streams. Based on the input and feedback we receive we tune our events to demand. So far, we have run a multi-stage festival, music quizzes, raffles, silent auctions, open-mic nights and ticketed music events. We have also attended community events run by other organisations, including Redditch Pride and the Headless Cross May Day Festival.
