COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

JB’S COMMUNITY OUTREACH CIC

Company Number: 12914727 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 30 September 2024

Company activities and impact

During the year the organisation delivered community Netball sessions for women and girls in Horncastle (Lincs) and the surrounding areas. The grant funding for the delivery of these sessions was provided last year by both Sport England's Together Fund and Active Lincolnshire. The Netball sessions benefitted the community by providing the opportunity for individuals to become more active, building friendships, teamwork and confidence alongside the benefits of improving both physical and mental health. Grant monies of £4,995.76 were received in the year from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) to support the delivery of the "I Can Lead" free of charge introductory coaching qualification for students aged 11 to 16. "I Can Lead" uses sport and physical activity to help individuals learn and develop key leadership skills and embrace personal development. Initial costs were incurred before the year-end but the main delivery of the project was after 30 September 2024 and the main associated expenditure will fall into next year' s accounts. Grant monies of £12,242.95 were received in July 2024 from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) to enable the organisation to deliver a Netball / Football project in Skegness (Lincs) for children aged 5-11, children aged 11-16, and adults. The project gives access to sessions within the local community for one pound per session, removing the prohibitive costs of similar sessions, especially for families in areas of deprivation such as the East Coast of Lincolnshire. The delivery of this project fell after the year-end and the relevant Grant receipts, and associated expenses, will appear in the account for the year-end 30 September 2025.
