Company activities and impact

The LBMG was established to provide support and advocate services to inspire positive change on behalf of members of Liverpool Black Community who suffer, racial harassment, and discrimination in housing, education, employment, health and policing. Through community engagement and participation programmes, the Group will deliver a series of innovative and collaborative education and training opportunities for members of the Black Community to develop their skills and knowledge relative to the barriers of racial discrimination and disadvantage and a wide range of experiences to help overcome these obstacles to fulfil their human potential. The group has hosted a number of events including local artisan markets, discussion panels, started walking groups and currently engaged in a partnership with Friends of the Earth to develop some local green spaces in Liverpool. As stated above, the group has embarked on a partnership with Friends of the Earth to develop some local green spaces. By extension, the group has partnered with other local green enterprises including Squash Liverpool and Scouse Flowerhouse.
