PART 1 - GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE COMPANY’S ACTIVITIES AND IMPACT In the space provided below, please insert a general account of the company’s activities in the financial year to which the report relates, including a description of how they have benefited the community. New Vision For Women supports a range of women to help them achieve their potential regardless of race, health issues, or ethnic background. We manage innovative and creative events and deliver em-powerment workshops and impactful courses. During the year 2023/ 2024, we focused on issues faced by women from deprived communities, low incomes, and single mums and addressed isolation in the community. We have delivered various pro-grammes according to the community's needs. We also ran projects for Asylum seekers and refugee women living in Lambeth. In 2023, we successfully delivered a variety of courses like Wheel of life and Goal setting ,CV work-shops for our community women looking for work and preparing others for when they will be looking for work later. For our project, Wellness for Refugee Women in Streatham, we organised and celebrated the opening of the fast in Ramadan for 100 people (including refugee women and their families from the hotel). The Mayor of Lambeth Sarbaz Barznji attended, as he was a refugee himself once, he is truly a great in-spiration for all, other councillors from different parties in Lambeth attended and participants were happy to meet them. We had great food and people sat together in harmony Muslims , people of other faiths and none enjoyed this experience, it was great occasion. In June 2023, we hosted 100 people for Eid celebrations at Streatham Hotel for refugees & asylum seekers. We provided hot food for children and adults and gifts for everyone; all families were excited to attend this event. We celebrated with a summer party in 2023 , 120 refugee and asylum seekers attended, we had lots of activities for adults and children and hot food was provided. A lot of new families benefitted and were supported with digital help from Lambeth as children are not in school and college so they can practice courses online and children in secondary school and continue education in the hotel. Councillor Marian-na also supported this event. September organised Peace Event, with Little Big Peace 100 people attended in Streatham. We celebrated International Women's Day in March 2024 in The Town Hall In Lambeth with sanctuary services it was a fantastic event celebrating our community women and our volunteers .The Mayors Awards were given to all NVFW volunteers who have upskilled, its was a rewarding moment for all to be acknowledged. It was great to acknowledge our women attendees asylum seekers and refugees and their progress in Lambeth. 150 people attended this. April 2024 Introduced young people to Dulwich cricket club 15 people joined the club. May 2024 trip to Kew Gardens with women , it was fantastic day as many it was their first time , tick-ets can be expensive 25 women benefited from this trip. In May 2024 we organised Tennis sessions for children at Hill Side Park with Serious About Tennis. 20 children benefited from this. In June 2024, we arranged a wonderful gardening session and a picnic at Rookery Park and visited the community gardens, and 55 people benefited. June 2024 We took 40 people (refugees) to the Lambeth Country Show and organised a lunch and their travel expenses for them. Overall, the year has been good. We are still making an impact with our ongoing wellness projects for the women in Lambeth. We also delivered a Women's well-being session on one morning of the week for 11 months. This in-volved a fitness class for the women first thing, followed by such things as making healthy smoothies, preparing and talking about healthy food options, and alternatives to unhealthy snacks. We provided a safe space for women to come together to make new friendships, talk, exchange experiences, and sup-port each other. This project was primarily to remove isolation within vulnerable communities. 80 wom-en benefited. The project voluntary Refugee Support in Lambeth we set up is still continuing we help refugees and asylum seekers in Lambeth who need help. Families who are living in hotels who need basic essentials. Men, women, and children are all without warm and summer clothes or footwear, as well as lacking other necessary needs, as they have no money to purchase basic items. We have helped 130 families.
