COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

RADIATE ARTS C.I.C.

Company Number: 10986315 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 30 September 2024

Company activities and impact

Radiate Arts, a Community Interest Company, working in Cheshire, North and Mid-Wales, facilitates the expression of visual art by members of community groups. We employ our vision to engage with underrepresented community groups, listening to their needs, helping them to define, develop and deliver their creative artistic ideas. We create an environment for them to lead and participate in projects which foster artistic, visual and non-verbal forms of expression. We deliver commissioned creative workshops for wellbeing. Our experience shows, every time, the positive benefits of creative expression in those that we work with in terms of improved mental health and wellbeing, challenging norms in society and creating lasting benefits to their quality of life.

Consultation with stakeholders

Radiate Arts CIC deliver targeted and community-led visual art workshops with community participants. The heart of our delivery strategy is not to be prescriptive in the detail of how or what a project delivers. We acknowledge that we have a strong identity and purpose, we own our vision. However, one of our key skills is facilitation and collaboration, we create project concepts, with the visual arts as the proposed medium of expression, undertake consultation in the community, we network and engage with potential stakeholders which include professional artists and marginalised groups in our community. Pulling this collaboratively together we define the agreed purpose of the projects that align with our vision, the communities’ values and objectives, and the funders requirements. From the agreed project purpose, projects are developed from community consultations which demonstrate an appetite amongst individuals, groups and communities, for particular creative activities, which are based on unity and co-collaboration.
