GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE COMPANY’S ACTIVITIES AND IMPACT Neeya CIC is a community interest company based in North Kensington, established to empower and uplift marginalised communities through culturally responsive, inclusive, and practical initiatives. During the financial year, Neeya CIC delivered a wide range of programmes and advocacy efforts aimed at supporting vulnerable individuals, particularly those from Moroccan and other North African backgrounds, as well as young people and families facing housing, health, and social inequalities. Our core activities included: Cultural and Community Events: We organised heritage and community events such as the Moroccan Independence Day celebration, which brought together residents from diverse backgrounds to foster inclusion, cultural pride, and social cohesion. Youth Engagement and Empowerment: We supported young people at risk of exclusion or social disengagement through mentorship, sports programmes (including our Sported-funded initiative), and personal development workshops, helping them build confidence, resilience, and readiness for education or employment. Advocacy and Support Services: Neeya CIC advocated for individuals facing housing instability, health challenges, or bureaucratic barriers, offering casework support and liaising with statutory agencies on their behalf to secure fair outcomes. Education and Employment Support: We supported young people and adults into further education, apprenticeships, and training opportunities, including providing guidance for those facing financial hardship or needing work experience. Neeya CIC’s work has had a tangible and lasting impact on the lives of local residents, reducing social isolation, promoting community wellbeing, and ensuring that underrepresented voices are heard and valued. Through partnerships with local authorities, charities, and grassroots organisations, we continue to advocate for a more equitable and connected community.
CONSULTATION WITH STAKEHOLDERS Neeya CIC recognises the importance of engaging with stakeholders to ensure our work reflects the real needs and aspirations of the local community. Our stakeholders include local residents, young people, grassroots organisations, schools, voluntary sector partners, and small businesses based in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. Throughout the financial year, we consulted stakeholders through: Community Events and Cultural Gatherings: These provided informal opportunities for dialogue, feedback, and community voice to shape future programming. Outreach Activities: By engaging with residents at local centres, markets, and through door-to-door engagement, we gathered insights into community needs, concerns, and suggestions. Service Delivery and Drop-ins: Feedback was gathered through regular interactions during our advocacy and support services, particularly from individuals accessing help with housing, education, and mental health. Partnership Meetings: We collaborated with local organisations and partners through meetings and joint initiatives to ensure our services complemented and enhanced existing community efforts. In response to stakeholder feedback, Neeya CIC has: Introduced more tailored youth development programmes, including culturally aware mentoring and educational support. Increased the number of bilingual and culturally competent outreach workers to supportbetter access to services. Adapted events to be more inclusive of intergenerational needs, ensuring families and elders feel welcome and heard. Strengthened relationships with local businesses by offering joint opportunities at events and encouraging local procurement where possible. Our ongoing consultation ensures that Neeya CIC remains responsive, inclusive, and accountable to those we serve.
