Company activities and impact

COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT GREATER LONDON SUPPORTED ACCOMMODATION CIC Company Number: 11431516 (England and Wales) Year Ending: 30 September 2024 Company Activities and Impact Greater London Supported Accommodation CIC provides specialist supported housing and supported tenancies in the community. Our tenants are primarily individuals diagnosed with severe and enduring mental health, learning disability and autistic spectrum disorder. We evaluate the complexity, intensity and unpredictability of the individual's needs and adapt our accommodation to suit their needs. Assessed needs of the individual is not only hinged on physical or mental health but also, disability or age and the impact these have on the person. The company also provides access to pre-vocational activities for therapeutic purposes through partners and local resources as well as access to supported employment. We excel in intensive housing management with support and supervision, for supported tenancies for vulnerable adults. The company acquires properties from the private rental market at the request of the NHS ICG's, Adult Social Services and local Care Providers. Since September 2024, Greater London Supported Accommodation CIC has increased its housing stock in the Northwest London Boroughs and have paired with the NHS’ Continuous Health Care (CHC) for adapting living spaces for complex clients with intense needs including providing sensory adaptations and mobility aids in the properties. Greater London Supported Accommodation CIC facilitates and simplifies an otherwise complex process for vulnerable adults by sourcing homes and helping the tenant or subtenant to sustain and maintain their tenancy, whilst empowering them to live more independently. Further to the above, Greater London Supported Accommodation CIC also provides step-up accommodation for the severely vulnerable and complex tenants, working closely with local Care Providers and NHS Trusts to accommodate and manage tenancies in shared supported living services as well as standalone accommodations. Additionally, we also support the individuals to transition from a more intense 24/7 specialised accommodation to semi-independent or independent living with support. Our activities benefit the local community by not only supporting the local private rental market and rental economy but also help to transform the lives of the vulnerable people in our sourced accommodations who in tum are acquainted with the resources of local services in the community.
