Company activities and impact

Supporting people with digital skills, applying for work and signposting to learning. Computer Clubs, considered as “drop ins” at Beehive centre St George, Malcolm X Centre St Pauls, rented office/meeting room at 13 Soundwell Road. Also starting computer club at @Symes Hartcliffe, once a month. Near end of the year became a contracted Community Learning West Training provider, delivering digital courses from September, supported by Bristol Council, Weca Funded. We delivered EDSQ Digital Skills as a BCS Centre. Successful in getting grants to improve digital capability from Good Things Foundation and supporting Disability group BRIL. BRIL Digital Inclusion project distributing to people computer tablets who consider themselves to be a disabled people and/or experiencing mental health. Continued to supply people digitally/financially excluded with internet data from 02 National Databank. Held our own events #JobnetworkBristol Events to signpost potential members/clients to our services. Clients/Members include a diversity of people, including from different countries, retired and experiencing disability/mental health. Volunteering and work experience opportunity.

Consultation with stakeholders

Each year we hold an annual AGM meeting, where even if clients/members do not attend, they can input or make suggestions to our community support. We also ask clients/members to fill in a survey each year to give opinions and once again suggestions/ideas. Also depending on funding/grant projects clients/members take part in feedback/surveys and visits from Good Things Foundation. Directors and volunteers are also in regular communication at our rented office next to a meeting room. Communicating about perspective projects and at start and during funded projects. Update-to-date with current computer issues and employment situation, responding also listening to client needs.
