Company activities and impact

From April – September 2025 Hornsey Trampoline Club ran a regular free to participate trampolining after-school session on Tuesday evenings as well as two separate trial sessions for secondary students at Haringey Schools. In September 2025 the club introduced a later moderate fee paid session for a broader range of participants, including those below secondary school age and adults. The beneficiaries of the club are students at local schools and adults; the vast majority of participants are from Hornsey School for Girls, which is a non-selective state school with a wide local catchment area. The club: Teaches participants the British Gymnastics syllabus, developing sporting skills Teaches participants to support each other around the trampolines and in developing skills, supporting them to develop an understanding of risk in a supporting environment and early coaching/mentoring skills. Prepares those ready to participate in competition to take part in regional competitions Improves general cardio fitness, introducing participants to a healthy lifestyle Encourages participants to support each other and make friends.

Consultation with stakeholders

The club stakeholders include Hornsey School for Girls, Haringey Sports Development Trust and the participants and their parents. During this period, Hornsey Trampoline Club had a number of discussions with the school regarding the club, including how to mitigate risk, given that trampolining is a higher risk sport. The club prepared a risk assessment for the school. There were also a number of discussions related to use of equipment and the gym and charges in respect of this. Haringey Sports Development club worked closely with Hornsey Trampoline Club prior to its inception and the club had a number of discussions with them regarding the nature of the sessions and their purpose. Haringey did not at the time have a trampolining club offering competition training and the club would support Haringey to continue to produce competition level trampolinists for London Youth Games.
