The company objects are to carry out activities which benefit the member community and in particular the running of a target rifle and pistol club, including training in aspects of safe and responsible firearms handling; During the financial year 2024, the CIC’s activities have benefited the community in the following ways; members have been able to purchase consumables more conveniently by using the cashless payment system set-up, reducing the number of additional travel miles generated in order to pursue their sport. The club supported local craftsman, sporting retailer outlets and commercial enterprises (building materials, electricians, plumbers etc) using their services sourced locally for provision of consumables and ongoing facility improvements. Training in safe handling has been completed for 50 probationers NRA approved RSO recertification training courses were supported for 3 members 2 local and 5 national competitions have been promoted and attended. 1 x open day were held for local blue light service personnel
The company’s stakeholders are the members of the club comprising locals and a wider set from the surrounding area. The directors of the company have been active members of the club for a number of years and have developed the business model for the club based on their experience of talking to other members and also from being former elected committee board members covering different roles and in discussions with the members covering the multiple disciplines offered by the club. We have also encouraged those Range and Safety officers volunteering at the club to pick up ideas for the business when talking to other members of their disciplines and a community platform on social media has been launched to provide a feedback channel for that input from members.
