MOVE Humber runs specialist functional fitness classes to four main demographics 1 - Ageing population 2 - Long term health condition 3 - Brain injury rehabs 4 - Parkinsons disease. Since starting in November 2022 we have grown to running 6 classes a week. We have part funded the classes for an initial 20 weeks to lower the barrier of entry and also we have been able to buy specialist equipment to further help the recovery and independence. We have seen huge impacts on the members joining the classes and how recovery is helping members outside the gym in their daily lives. We know that there is a void left when members have immediate care or diagnosis through the NHS and our goal is to fill that void and keep people active in a safe community environment
