CIC34 – Community Interest Company Report Buddies for All CIC Registered company number: 13246508 Year Ending: 31st March 2025 Buddies for All is a community interest company that provides one-to-one buddying support for disabled adults aged 18–65 across London. We support people with physical, sensory and hidden disabilities, including those living with chronic illness, neurological conditions, or mental health challenges, many of whom face barriers to getting out and being part of their communities. We match people with a buddy who can support them with regular social or leisure activities, either in-person or remotely. Since launching, we’ve supported over 250 disabled people, helping them to reconnect with others, feel less isolated, and build confidence. Buddies support people through phone calls, video chats (on Zoom or Google Meet), and in-person meetups to do things like go for a walk, have a coffee, watch a film, attend a football match, or go out to eat. These experiences have helped people feel more confident, less lonely, and more motivated to do things they enjoy. Just having someone to talk to or go out with has made a big difference to the lives of many people we’ve worked with. Over time, we want to help people feel more independent and build their own local connections. Although we recently started offering structured rehabilitation support to private clients, most of our work over the last year focused on social buddying, making sure disabled people have consistent, meaningful support to do the everyday things that improve their wellbeing.
support and others working in the community. Most of our learning comes from regular conversations with those using the buddying service, they’ve told us what kind of support works best for them, which activities they enjoy, and how they prefer to meet (whether online, over the phone or in person). This has helped us make sure the service stays flexible and person-centred. We’ve also spoken to local professionals, including those working in social care, disability support, and health services in Lewisham. Their input has helped us understand the wider challenges disabled people face around loneliness, confidence, and getting back into community life. All of this feedback has helped us shape how the buddying offer works and confirmed just how important it is to provide regular, consistent, one-to-one social support that meets people where they’re at.
The total amount paid or receivable by directors in respect of qualifying services was £16,500. There were no other transactions or arrangements in connection with the remuneration of directors, or compensation for director's loss of office, which require to be disclosed.
No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
