Make CIC’s mission is to help people turn their passion into prosperity. The mission is to provide services; support people; facilitate resources and networks in order that people can live happy, healthy and prosperous lives. Make CIC is a purpose-driven social enterprise with three vibrant spaces across the Liverpool City Region. We unite and enrich communities through creativity, art and culture. Our creative hubs in North Docks (Liverpool) and Hamilton Square (Wirral) and Huyton Village (Knowsley) are home to local artists, makers, creatives, charities, social enterprises and they are deeply rooted and connect to the local community, providing affordable workspaces, and a programme of educational, cultural and sociable events, classes, workshops, exhibitions and more. Make's core trading activity is to provide affordable and accessible creative work environments. Make had three active hubs in 2024-25; Make North Docks in Liverpool’s Ten Streets; Make Hamilton in Birkenhead, Wirral and Make Huyton Village in Knowsley. In August 2024 Make’s Birkenhead hub moved to a permanent home for its makers, moving from a meanwhile-space near Hamilton Square to Argyle Street, after successfully purchasing and renovating a building. Another branch of our work “Made by Make”, commission projects from design to build, investing in our community and local makers. Our commitment to sustainability means that we source materials responsibly, and as locally as possible. In 2024, we delivered seven commissions in 2024, creating 20 unique pieces of work. From immersive photo opportunities to stage designs, our projects spanned various mediums and settings, reaching audiences across the Liverpool City Region and further afield. We worked with 34 incredible local artists and makers, generating £60,000 in commission income directly for them. The impact of our work extended through over 57 press moments, some of which had a global reach, and we had the privilege of bringing visions to life for clients like Taylor Swift and Ecotricity. Many of our commissioned pieces have also been reimagined multiple times during the year, highlighting our commitment to sustainability and community.
