1. STATUTORY INFORMATION

BPEC Services Limited is a private company, limited by shares , registered in England and Wales. The company's registered number and registered office address can be found on the Company Information page.

2. ACCOUNTING POLICIES

Basis of preparing the financial statements
These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with Financial Reporting Standard 102 "The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland" including the provisions of Section 1A "Small Entities" and the Companies Act 2006. The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention.

Turnover
Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, excluding discounts, rebates, value added tax and other sales taxes.

Tangible fixed assets
Tangible fixed assets under the cost model are stated at historical cost less accumulated depreciation and any accumulated impairment losses. Historical cost includes expenditure that is directly attributable to bringing the asset to the location and condition necessary for it to be capable of operating in the manner intended by management.

Depreciation is provided at the following annual rates in order to write off each asset over its estimated useful life.

Fixtures and fittings - 33% on cost
Office and computer equipment - 50% on cost or 33% on cost

Stocks
Stocks are valued at the lower of cost and net realisable value, after making due allowance for obsolete and slow moving items.

Taxation
Taxation for the year comprises of current tax. Tax is recognised in the Profit and Loss Account, except to the extent that it relates to items recognised in other comprehensive income or directly in equity.

Current taxation are not discounted.

Current tax is recognised at the amount of tax payable using the tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the balance sheet date.

Timing difference arise from the inclusion of income and expenses in tax assessments in periods different from those in which they are recognised in financial statements.

Pension costs and other post-retirement benefits
The company operates a defined contribution pension scheme. Contributions payable to the company's pension scheme are changed to profit or loss in the period to which they relate.

8. RELATED PARTY DISCLOSURES

During the year the company recharged costs totalling £1,766 (2023 - £917) to British Plumbing Employers Council (Training) Limited, a charity under significant influence of SNIPEF Management Limited. British Plumbing Employers Council (Training) Limited charged the company for services provided, recharges and rent totalling £203,912 (2023 - £173,901). The company also made a £5,000 (2023 - £28,125) donation to the charity during the year. At the balance sheet date the company owed £11,936 (2023 - £7,963) to the British Plumbing Employers Council (Training) Limited.

During the year the company provided goods and services and recharged costs totalling £75,561 (2023 - £72,454) to BPEC Certification Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of British Plumbing Employers Council (Training) Limited. BPEC Certification Limited recharged costs to the company totalling £60,713 (2023 - £38,246). At the balance sheet date the company owed £18,543 (2023 - £68) to BPEC Certification Limited.
