Company activities and impact

Finding Magic CIC supports mental health, creativity, and personal well-being through magic, performance, and storytelling. We use the arts to help people reconnect with a sense of personal “magic”, those moments of joy, connection, and meaning that can transform daily life. In 2023-2024: We delivered 10 creative workshops to bereavement groups, women’s groups, refugee organisations, and community centres across Norfolk and Suffolk, reaching over 150 people. We produced the Finding Magic Podcast, capturing and sharing over 100 personal stories of resilience, loss, joy, and creative discovery. We performed live magic and storytelling shows reaching over 5000 people for children and families at festivals, schools, theatres, and heritage sites, blending illusion with themes of hope and self-expression. We ran online Morning Disco sessions to promote joy and movement, and shared daily inspirational quotes with a community of over 500 people through our Facebook group. Our impact is both emotional and practical: we increase well-being, reduce isolation, and support personal growth, particularly in underserved communities.

Consultation with stakeholders

We regularly consult our stakeholders through: Feedback forms after workshops and performances Direct conversations with community group leaders and partner organisations. Post-event reflections with participants to understand how activities were received and what else they might need. Ongoing engagement via our Facebook group, where followers comment, share stories, and respond to our content. This feedback has helped us adapt activities (e.g. offering follow-up sessions or tailoring themes for grief support) and ensures we continue to respond meaningfully to community needs.

Directors' remuneration

No directors of Finding Magic CIC have received remuneration in their role as directors. Should any director undertake additional duties (such as delivering workshops or performances), they may be paid a reasonable and transparent freelance fee, in line with sector rates and only where approved by the board. This ensures the integrity of our asset lock and social purpose is maintained.

Transfer of assets

Finding Magic CIC has not transferred any assets other than for full consideration. Any future transfers (such as donation of resources to community partners) will be done strictly in accordance with the asset lock, ensuring they support our mission and receive board approval.
