In the financial year 2024-2025, Pathways 2 Performance CIC launched its first programme, Sing Me Happy - a free six-week vocal performance initiative designed to support the mental health of young women aged 16- 34 through music, mentoring, and creative expression. Funded by the National Lottery Community Fund at the start of the year, we designed and delivered a structured curriculum focused on vocal technique, performance skills, and confidence-building. Each session also included facilitated group discussions around mental health, creating a safe and supportive space for participants to express themselves, connect with others, and build emotional resilience through music. As part of the programme, we also produced one live music event within the community, giving participants the opportunity to showcase their growth and talents in a supportive and empowering environment. The event served not only as a performance platform but also as a celebration of community, creativity, and mental wellbeing. During this period, Pathways 2 Performance CIC benefited the community by: - Working with 22 young women aged 16-34 across Greater London. - Empowering participants through creative workshops and tailored 1:1 mentoring. - Offering volunteering and work experience opportunities for young people. - Creating opportunities for professionals to engage in meaningful work with the community. - Producing a community-facing live event to showcase participants and build local engagement. This first year has laid a strong foundation for growth and long-term impact, demonstrating the power of music as a tool for wellbeing, self-expression, and social connection.
Pathways 2 Performance engages directly with young people to shape the design and delivery of our programmes. Their feedback plays a central role in how we improve our work and ensure it continues to meet the needs of the community. We also liaise with our funders, including the National Lottery Community Fund, to ensure our activities are creating positive and measurable social impact. At the start of each programme, participants complete a survey to help us understand their current mental health, personal challenges, and areas where they would like support. We track their progress through a structured feedback process, with forms completed during weeks 1, 3, and 6 of the programme. These responses allow us to monitor changes over time and adapt our approach as needed. At the end of the programme, participants also complete a mental health log, which helps us assess impact and identify individuals who may require further support. We maintain regular conversations with participants throughout the programme and document noticeable improvements in confidence, wellbeing, and engagement. These informal check-ins are crucial for building trust and ensuring young people feel heard and supported. During our live community events, we also gather feedback from parents and families of participants, helping us understand the wider impact of our work and how we can continue to improve. This continuous cycle of consultation ensures our programmes remain relevant, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of those we serve.
The total amount paid to directors in respect of qualifying services was £1,100.
