In the space provided below, please insert a general account of the company’s activities in the financial year to which the report relates, including a description of how they have benefited the community. Rye News CIC has made it possible for a team of volunteers to publish Rye News online with about 20 new stories being added every week. The topics covered have been of interest to people living and visiting Rye and the surrounding villages. Our readers have been able to comment and submit stories of their own. Rye News is now an important part of the local community - encouraging engagement and participation in local activities of all kinds.
The company's stakeholders arc all those living and working in Rye and the surrounding villages as well as many UK and overseas visitors. Rye News is a platform for local news and opinion, and \Ve regularly have constructive dialogue with our stakeholders. To this end we have held events to which our readers have been invited to come and meet the team of volunteers. Readers are invited to comment on all the stories we publish, and many comments are received each week and published. However, we do not publish comments that do not meet our published guidelines. These guidelines require comments to be reasonable and if possible constructive. Rye News is also active on social media with an Instagram and Facebook presence. Both have been showing increased activity over the last year.
