The Tees Online CIC exists to amplify underrepresented voices across the Tees Valley, creating a digital platform for real stories, issues, and perspectives from local people and grassroots organisations. We aim to support civic empowerment, community journalism, and digital inclusion, helping communities share their experiences and influence positive change. During this financial year, we focused on preparing the groundwork for long-term sustainability while continuing our core work of engaging with local residents, community groups, and activists through digital storytelling and online publishing. We supported community outreach through events and networking, and used remaining funds to sustain the platform’s development and deliver value to the public. Though our activity was reduced due to lack of new income, we remained active in promoting local stories and building collaborative relationships.
We engaged our community primarily through our Facebook platform and online content, enabling residents and local groups to share their own stories and issues. We also maintained partnerships with grassroots organisations and listened to feedback via social media and community events.
Directors were paid a total of £6,179 in recognition of the time spent developing the platform, liaising with community stakeholders, maintaining operations, and overseeing content. This payment was funded from retained reserves from previous years. No other benefits or pensions were paid to directors.
No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
