Transition Lighthouse Empowerment Space Community Interest Company (TLE Space CIC) is committed to providing supportive services to refugees, asylum seekers, and vulnerable migrants in our community. Our aim is to create an inclusive environment where individuals facing challenges can begin their journey of healing and integration. We are requesting the support of Vale of White Horse Council. There's an exhibition at 19B Market Place, Faringdon, SN7 7HP, to raise awareness on lived traumatic experiences and promote the services that can aid these individuals. Objectives Promote Therapeutic Recovery Services The exhibition will feature services that focus on healing and recovery, emphasizing therapeutic methods to support individuals in overcoming the trauma associated with displacement. This includes counseling, group therapy, and mental health support. Connect to Green Spaces through Social Prescribing The exhibition will highlight how connecting with green spaces can play a crucial role in improving mental and physical well-being. Through social prescribing, we will link vulnerable migrants with nature-based activities such as walking, gardening, and community-driven environmental projects. Cooking and Food Project In collaboration with Good Food Oxfordshire, and The Pump House Project, we aim to offer cooking projects that will not only teach valuable skills but also provide a sense of community and belonging. These sessions will offer participants the chance to share their own culinary traditions, creating a cultural exchange that fosters unity and understanding.

Refugees, asylum seekers, and vulnerable migrants in the local area Local residents interested in supporting refugees and migrants Social service providers, community organizations, and volunteers Benefits to the Local Community Empowerment of refugees and vulnerable migrants by providing them with the tools and support they need for recovery and integration. Strengthening the bond between local residents and migrants through shared experiences in cooking, art, and outdoor activities. Raising awareness of the social prescribing model, which promotes holistic wellbeing by connecting individuals to community resources like green spaces. Supporting local organizations and charities through increased exposure and collaboration.
