During the 2023/24 financial year, Divine Buzz delivered a diverse range of programmes designed to support, empower, and uplift the local community. Our After-School Club provided 250 children/young people with a safe, nurturing environment for learning and play, while holiday programmes offered enriching experiences and vital childcare support for families. Women’s Exercise, Healthy Eating & Social Club, and the Free Gym strengthened physical wellbeing and boosted confidence, particularly among underserved groups. Our Swimming and Cycling Programme enhanced water safety and road awareness, enabling participants especially women from ethnic minority backgrounds to acquire essential life skills while forging strong social connections. Creative initiatives such as Hair Braiding & Makeup and Sewing Workshops promoted cultural expression, entrepreneurship, and intergenerational learning. Collaborations with partners like the Felix Project and the National Lottery helped combat food insecurity through the Community Food Give-Out, ensuring families had access to essentials during cost-of-living pressures. Community trips created lasting memories for children while expanding their horizons through new experiences. Collectively, these services fostered inclusion, resilience, and solidarity, providing tangible support while nurturing, emotional and physical wellbeing across age groups. Divine Buzz’s impact was not just measurable it was deeply felt, with a strong emphasis on dignity, access, and joyful community participation. We remain committed to expanding our reach and deepening our impact in the coming year, guided by the voices and needs of the community we serve.
Divine Buzz carried out meaningful consultations with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure our programmes were responsive, inclusive, and impactful. These consultations included: Community Conversations: Our regular forums and informal dialogues with parents, caregivers, and young participants helped shape activities like the After-School Club, Women’s Exercise sessions, and School Holiday Programmes. Feedback highlighted the need for flexible scheduling, cultural relevance, and opportunities for creative expression. We shared a comprehensive end-of-project report with stakeholders and held strategic discussions with key funders. All parties expressed satisfaction and support for the ongoing partnership. Volunteer & Staff Input: Volunteers and staff contributed through monthly reflection meetings and training sessions, including targeted SEND workshops. Their insights guided the development of inclusive activities and sensory-based approaches that better supported children with diverse needs. Surveys & Feedback Tools: Simple feedback forms and visual boards were used after events and trips to capture participant voices, with data used to refine planning and address emerging community priorities. These consultations had strengthened trust, encouraged co-creation, and ensured Divine Buzz’s services remained grounded in lived experience and community aspirations.
The total amount paid or receivable by directors in respect of qualifying services was £49,425. No other transactions, arrangements, or compensations related to directors’ remuneration or loss of office were reportable.
