The company is entitled to exemption from audit under Section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 for the year ended 30 November 2024.

The members have not required the company to obtain an audit of its financial statements for the year ended 30 November 2024 in accordance with Section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.

The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for:
(a)ensuring that the company keeps accounting records which comply with Sections 386 and 387 of the Companies Act 2006 and
(b)preparing financial statements which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the company as at the end of each financial year and of its surplus or deficit for each financial year in accordance with the requirements of Sections 394 and 395 and which otherwise comply with the requirements of the Companies Act 2006 relating to financial statements, so far as applicable to the company.

The financial statements have been prepared and delivered in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime.

In accordance with Section 444 of the Companies Act 2006, the Income Statement has not been delivered.

1. STATUTORY INFORMATION

Berkeley Foundation Limited is a private company, limited by guarantee , registered in England and Wales. The company's registered number and registered office address can be found on the Company Information page.

2. ACCOUNTING POLICIES

Basis of preparing the financial statements
These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with Financial Reporting Standard 102 "The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland" including the provisions of Section 1A "Small Entities" and the Companies Act 2006. The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention.

The principal accounting policies adopted in the preparation of the financial statements are set out below and have remained unchanged from the previous year and also have been consistently applied within the same accounts.

The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention. The presentation currency is Sterling (£).

Financial reporting standard 102 - reduced disclosure exemptions
The company has taken advantage of the following disclosure in preparing these financial statements, as permitted by FRS 102 'The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland':
- the requirements of Section 7 Statement of Cash Flows.

Turnover
Revenue described as turnover in the financial statements comprises the value of goods and services net of VAT provided to customers during the year.

Turnover includes amounts recoverable on long term contracts. Such amounts represent the estimated value at selling price of uncompleted assignments at the financial year end. Certain assignments are subject to agreement of price on completion. In cases where directors are of the opinion that full value for the work done will not be realised, provision is made to reduce the value to the expected realisable value.

Tangible fixed assets
Depreciation is provided at the following annual rates in order to write off the cost less estimated residual value of each asset over its estimated useful life.

Debtors
Debtors include amounts recoverable on long term contracts.

Provisions
Provisions are set up only where it is probable that a present obligation exists as a result of an event prior to the balance sheet date and that a payment will be required in settlement that can be estimated reliably.

9. RELATED PARTY DISCLOSURES

Berkeley Foundation Limited was funded by long term loans from the Members. The loan by Mr P Cunningham is secured by a fixed and floating charge over all property and undertakings of the company.

The accounts include a loan to one of the Members totalling £15,426.

Included in administrative expenses are fees of £12,000 paid to Ms Blackman, a director and consultancy fees of £10,000 paid to P Cunningham (deceased).
