SingPlayConnect CIC is an innovative provider of music education services dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals within our community through music-therapy-based sessions. Over the previous accounting year, we have made significant progress in establishing meaningful relationships with key stakeholders, thereby laying the groundwork for regular and impactful service provision. Our CIC made several changes in direction and specialism and to acknowledge this the directors changed the company name to Sing Play Connect to better reflect our service delivery. A notable achievement includes the continuing partnership with a specialist early years setting, where we continue to deliver successful weekly provision for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This initiative is tailored specifically to address the unique challenges faced by young children with complex needs, fostering an inclusive environment in which they can flourish. Furthermore, we have continued a specialised programme aimed at supporting parents within the community, conducted at a local Family Hub. This programme formed a critical component of an action research paper and the findings were presented at a prestigious national Early Years conference in Newcastle in November 2024. The research underscores the importance of early intervention through a parent-mediated approach and sensory profiling, highlighting our commitment to evidence-based practices in early childhood education. This initiative also contributed to our director achieving a distinction in Master of Arts in Early Years Education, specialising in Music and SEND, thereby demonstrating our dedication to continuous professional development and academic excellence. Our directors have actively participated in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) events and pursued accredited training, acquiring valuable qualifications that enhance our capacity to deliver high-quality provision in the local area. These efforts not only strengthen our service delivery but also ensure that we remain at the forefront of best practices in music education and therapy. One director embarked on the Sounds of Intent PGCert at the University of Roehampton specialising in Music for SEND and Dementia. Through these initiatives, Sing Play Connect CIC is committed to making a lasting impact within the community, fostering developmental growth and well-being for children and families alike. We look forward to continuing our journey of innovation and collaboration in the field of music education and therapy.
Sing Play Connect CIC has actively sought feedback from various stakeholders, including parents, educators, and community members, to inform our service provision. The company has established ongoing communication channels with early years settings and other relevant stakeholders within the local community. We have engaged with families through social media platforms and local networking events to gather insights and feedback on our services. The perspectives of our stakeholders have been invaluable, allowing us to refine our offerings and ensure they meet the needs of the community. Their input has played a significant role in shaping our programmes and has been included in our research paper, which aims to contribute to the further development of our service provision. We remain committed to fostering these relationships and integrating stakeholder feedback into our ongoing initiatives.
