We have provided a space for over 60 local and graduating artists to sell their work as freelance for the first time. This has helped us to build a safe community art space in the heart of Canton, and will continue on to be a stepping stone for many more local and emerging artists. We have hosted and facilitated fundraising events for local communities around Cardiff and will continue to do so throughout this year. We have also been working with Taff housing this year, to facilitate workshops with minority groups. Alongside all of this we have been using our space as a way to host an events programme, accessible for all, and to be subsidised where possible, to allow anyone who wants to give the arts a go. Some examples of this have been our illustration markets that are free to attend and have a range of workshops, as well as our most recent kids club, which will be an after school club like event that will be running throughout the summer holidays. Our aim, as always, is to share art and how it can benefit our local community, reaching out to those who may not realise those benefits.
