Principal activities of the company

Helping Hands Supported Living CIC provides Supported Accommodation services to vulnerable individuals, including care leavers, those with mental health needs, substance misuse histories, ex-offenders, and asylum seekers. We operated several supported homes in areas such as Wembley, West Drayton, Greenford, and Southall. Throughout the financial year, our service delivered tailored support focusing on tenancy sustainment, emotional wellbeing, life skills, employment readiness, and independent living preparation. This has contributed to reduced homelessness, enhanced community safety, and improved long-term outcomes for our clients.

  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

    Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, excluding discounts, rebates, value added tax and other sales taxes. Turnover from the sale of goods is recognised when goods have been delivered to customers such that risks and rewards of ownership have transferred to them. Turnover from the rendering of services is recognised by reference to the stage of completion of the contract. The stage of completion of a contract is measured by comparing the costs incurred for work performed to date to the total estimated contract costs.

    Tangible fixed assets depreciation policy

    Tangible assets are included at cost less depreciation and impairment. Depreciation has been provided at the following rates in order to write off the assets over their estimated useful lives:

Consultation with stakeholders

Our stakeholders include clients and residents, local authorities, health and social care professionals, probation officers, and families of clients. We carried out regular consultations through: Individual support review meetings Feedback forms and surveys Discussions with professionals and referring agencies Multi-agency planning sessions In response to feedback, we made several improvements including increased staff training, more flexible support schedules, and improved safety and wellbeing protocols.
