The aim of ISLANDERS MEDIA CIC is to support the Polish community in the United Kingdom. We work with experienced reporters and creators who share their knowledge and passion through broadcasts dedicated to culture, music, books, sports, and social issues. Our programming includes, among others: - "History According to Children - by Piotr Borowski - "The Cultural Un-Daily" by Magdalena Lytek-Dehiles - "Time for Sporto and Stuff" by Darek Tokarski - "Freshly Ground Coffee" by Ewa Taylor - "With a Book on the Wave" by Magdalena Lytek-Dehiles - "Rock and Roots" by Sebastian Roots - "Oldie but Goldie Classics" by Pawel Piensko - "Pawel Under the Moons" by Pawel Horyszny - "English Tea with Polish Culture" by Ewa Taylor - "Off The Record" by Arkadiusz Tylza - "Under the Big Roof of the Sky" by Piotr Spotek and Maria Duszka Our microphones are present wherever something important for the Polish migrant community is happening - from author events and concerts to exhibitions, social campaigns, and charity actions. We support and promote events such as Picnics with Autism, which aim to foster inclusion and raise awareness about the autism spectrum. We report on literary meetings in London, including events with Darek Zeller and Remi Juskiewicz, concerts, and book launches. Our radio station has partnered with various initiatives, including: - the play "Crazy Green Lilac" by Other Space Productions - artistic exhibitions at LPC - the Polish Book Fair - poetry collections and books published by Polish artists living in the UK We publish articles about literary salons at the Polish Hearth Club (Ognisko Polskie), support the Literary Memoir of the Union of Polish Writers Abroad, and collaborate with the Emigraniady platform to spread knowledge about Polish history, art, and language. We also take part in educational and community events, such as panel discussions on mental health - for example, a panel on depression organized at the White Eagle Club. We collaborate with the Polish Community Hub in Ipswich, supporting aid and information initiatives for migrants. As part of our journalistic activity, we visited Dublin to report on the Grand Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (WOSP) and traveled to Sieradz, Poland, where we conducted an interview with poet Maria Duszka. Our broadcasts not only inform but also unite the community, promoting solidarity, culture, and mutual support.
