Candela VR CIC ran sessions with GCSE and A-level classes where students took part in physics-related virtual reality (VR) experience and exercises. These activities developed students understanding of the curriculum and beyond by providing an interactive and educational experience. It provided all necessary equipment and resources to the classes delivering the sessions for free to ensure accessibility for all schools. Candela VR CIC also attended events held by the University of Warwick where it promoted studying and pursuing careers within Physics and STEM which are pathways to a range of high impact, high paying careers to parents and pupils. These events provided parents and students with the opportunity to engage with current university undergraduates studying Physics to gain insight into what it is like to pursue these subjects and highlight the skills needed in the sector, and combat any myths surrounding studying physics to give the younger pupils the confidence to pursue it.
Stakeholders include teachers and pupils from the classes that Candela VR CIC deliver sessions to. Feedback on the sessions and thoughts on the experience were collected from these groups after every session. These were then reviewed and where appropriate and possible, feedback on session structure and VR software was implemented.
No remuneration was received
