The principle activities of StreetDraw24 CIC, that it was set up to conduct were: - Organise and run, and help others organise and run, outdoor community drawing events. - Organise and run, and help others organise and run, exhibitions of the output of community drawing events. Since becoming a CIC we have fulfilled this remit having run six community drawing events and exhibitions - four in Cornwall and two in Devon. Around 650 people took part across the drawing events and many more attended the exhibitions helping them to engage in a community activity that encourages people to see where they live through fresh eyes. Across these events we raised money for two charities supporting people facing homelessness - a growing issue in the South West. Funds were raised for two charities during this period in excess of £4,000k. Over the years we also deepened our offer as StreetDraw24 CIC was commissioned to run a large-scale arts and research project in Cornwall designed to challenge stigma and stereotypes around homelessness. And another commission resulted in an illustrated picture book on the subject of housing and homelessness in Cornwall, Hope for Cornwall.
The company stakeholders include: - Individuals who take part in StreetDraw24’s events - Volunteers - Organisations that collaborate with us to hold these events - Clients that we provide services to. While no formal consultation has taken place during this initial period, we are in constant dialogue with all our stakeholders regarding the work we did together. And we've received very positive feedback particularly about the book, Hope for Cornwall which led to significant media coverage.
