Year Ending: 30 November 2024

Company activities and impact

Over the past year, our Community Interest Company has delivered a range of activities designed to promote social inclusion, personal development, and positive community engagement through gaming-based interventions. Youth Roleplaying Clubs: We ran regular roleplaying clubs for young people, providing safe, structured, and imaginative spaces for social development. During school holidays, we expanded these sessions in partnership with the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, offering extended opportunities for positive engagement and diversionary activity. Combating Social Isolation: We supported individuals at risk of social isolation by facilitating inclusive wargaming groups. These sessions offered regular social contact, a sense of community, and a shared purpose through strategic and cooperative play. Afterschool Board Game Clubs: We delivered board game clubs in primary schools, focusing on the development of pro-social skills in younger children. These clubs encouraged turn-taking, teamwork, communication, and conflict resolution in a fun and engaging environment.

Consultation with stakeholders

We have regular interactions with stakeholders, including providing surveys and opportunities to offer feedback in advance of directors meetings. This has led to increased opening hours, expanding our space to take on a new room for gaming, and we are providing improved food and drink for members.
