COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

WOMEN IN POWER UK COMMUNITY INTEREST COMPANY

Company Number: 09359044 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 31 October 2024

Company activities and impact

The directors present their report and accounts for the year ended 31 October 2024. In May 2024 Women in Power CIC ran a weekend community event - ‘Uplift’. This provided opportunities for members of our community to continue their personal development and also to progress discussion about the future development of the CIC, its structures and support activities. Over 40 women attended the event and reported that they found it a nourishing and uplifting experience. A second weekend community event - ‘Homing’ - was held in September 2024. This was not well attended, but the event broke even, and those present found the intimacy of the weekend valuable.

Consultation with stakeholders

In light of the impact of the diversity work undertaken in the conduct of the May 2023 Initiation, a questionnaire was produced by a small committee of women and circulated to the whole community. The purpose of the research was to canvas opinion concerning the structures and future development of the CIC activity. Responses were received from roughly 16% of women of the community, and the results explained in person to those women attending the May 2024 community event, and also reported in the CIC newsletter circulated to all women.

Directors' remuneration

No remuneration was received
