COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

GRIMSBY IN BLOOM SOLUTIONS C.I.C.

Company Number: 10431775 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 31 October 2024

Company activities and impact

During the year we have continued to operate the Cafe at Duke of York Gardens which is based in the West Marsh area of Grimsby. The area is socially deprived and we are looking to improve the local area visually through the extended gardens we have created. We work with local scouting groups and younger people as the area is a high crime area and we are looking to help younger people engage with the local community and reduce the risk of anti-social behaviour. We also operate as a safe space for lonely members of the community, no matter the age and the facility works to keep people involved. We have volunteers running clubs to help people gain basic skills and to learn to be part of a team. We are also working alongside the local council to maintain the town centre creating a more bio-diverse site and helping to encourage the green footprint locally.

Consultation with stakeholders

Our primary stakeholders are the local community who we encourage for feedback and any ideas to help the area, even if in a small way. We also liase with the local volunteering groups looking to ascertain anything where we can aid. The Humberside Police are consulted mainly in regards to the younger members of the Community as we are in a high crime area and there involvement helps freshen up ideas and keep people involved. We engage with the local council who consult with there members as to the work required for looking for any green work to be undertaken.
